For a Tim Schafer point-and-click adventure, this is just... fine. When you think of what defines Double Fine, Psychonauts comes to mind first and foremost, with its brilliant eccentricity and depth, followed to a lesser extent by the whimsical spirit of Broken Age. Tim Schafer's trademark flamboyant, effortlessly charming humor is there, but both the narrative structure and gameplay grow increasingly flimsy. It begins as a delightful experience, carried by its lovely visuals and sense of the bizarre, but ultimately becomes downright boring, leaving behind little more than an impression of shallowness.

Part 1 was good. Part 2 showed first signs of (technical & logical) problems. The "grand finale" was a total blackout for me - here is why. Changed my mind. After suffering forever at the very last part that did not work for me, even by following step by step in a video walktrough, i rate this cheek a fair 7/10 points (part1) 5/10 points (part 2) 1 / 10 points (final). I hope this game's developers learned through all the years that passed since release not ignore legit critics. This is a serious issue the game has. Beside the pestering wire riddles i could NOT finish the game by doing EXACTLY as this game's chefs please. Absolute cheek & not sorry from my side. I really regret my waisted time on the game's last part when the two mog ships "rendevous". Pure cheek from the devs. Sh4me on 'em.

I've been a console gamer until recently so point and click isn't really my thing. I've gotten more into cozy gaming as a stress relief though and this game is definitely that. Lots of whimsy. Lots of humor. Beautiful art and music with great voice acting. Most of the puzzles were surprisingly logical. I didn't get stuck nearly as much as I did with Grim Fandango or Day of the Tentacle. My only complaint was ending felt pretty abrupt. I would've liked some sort of epilogue.
