IT IS PURE FUN. I agree. Now to the Game. AKHRA: THE TREASURES is not a normal Match 3 Game. This Mechanics are really challenging, but never unfair. While you have to change Stones to get a Row in other Games, you have to slide Rows horizontal and vertical to get 3 or more together. In this case they don´t have to be a Row. Casual match-3 sliding puzzle. --- Like many of the games from this developer this isn't new, it's an older flash style game previously released to mobile and BigFish Games around 2011. Many of their other games are also from the mid to late 2000's era now being ported to Steam as well. Just keep that in mind for expectations. The sliding style (rather than gem exchange) is not common in the genre and lends itself to a mildly different feel when making combos. [b]akhra: the treasures[/b] is a mostly sliding kind of match-3 from 2011, move rows or columns until matches are created. the core gameplay is very similar to the dev's own [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/dohi64/recommended/2285860]engineering[/url] from 2009, which was very basic and lackluster, but there's a lot more to this one. it's honestly [b]one of the most complex 'basic' match-3s I've seen[/b], possibly even a bit overcomplicated. the extensive, 24-page [b]in-game help[/b] explains it all and there are tooltips for most things, but I'll summarize important stuff as well. there's a story too, cutscenes, flavor text before levels, involves a professor and treasures and whatnot, it's a whole thing. [b]timed and relaxed modes[/b] to choose from at the beginning, can be changed anytime, and there are technically 10 of what the game calls levels but each has several stages, so [b]109 levels altogether[/b]. one is a bonus is each but the last map, can't use power-ups there but rewards are plentiful. there's even an ominous cutscene and music to go with them, pretty cool. to access more locations, gotta find map pieces on the levels, a mini hidden object side-goal if you wil…

Many of the dev's other games are also from the mid to late 2000's era, now being ported to Steam as well. Akhra: The Treasures was a fun, casual match-3 game, but sadly it doesn't really fit our curator in general. There was no animals of any kind which made it a little disappointing, BUT it doesn't really change my opinion on the game as a whole. It's a good little game that is well done and has a solid amount of stages. It took me a little longer at certain points, because some stages required more brain, but it was mostly casual and chill. There is a few different types of stages in the game; slide, swap, twist and chain. You also have to collect map pieces while you go so you can move on to the next group of stages. I would recommend this game for anyone who enjoys match-3 puzzle games! It's fun and enjoyable.

Visually it's nice and the gameplay is okay but the music and sound are bad, and that's important for games like this to me.

I recommend this game.
