About AL・FINE

In this world, three races — humans, sprites, and kindred — coexist with their own unique cultures. Some races are on good terms with each other, such as humans and sprites, while others may not get along as well, such as sprites and kindred, but they all live together more or less harmoniously.

Nowhere is that cooperative attitude more apparent than here in the most commercially-developed town on the archipelago, Notte Luce.

The tale about to be told is about a boy named Louis and his experiences in Notte Luce.

Join Louis in his experiences running and managing an item shop in this exciting new simulation game!

Features:

  • Grow your store and overpower the competition! - The game is based around buying goods at low prices in the market and selling them a profit, making money to grow your store, overtaking rival shops and becoming the number one merchant in Notte Luce.
  • Pay attention to the weather and the time! - The number of people who come to your store changes with the in-game weather and time of day. Plan accordingly and use your time wisely to increase your sales!
  • Customize your store! - You can use points you earn through selling goods to change how the inside of your store looks, expand your store, add different kinds of goods and more. Try out all sorts of customizations!
  • Hire adventurers to search through dungeons! - As the story progresses, you’ll meet adventurers whom you can ask to explore dungeons and bring back goods for you to sell. There are even some goods you can only find through dungeon exploration!
  • Fantastic Characters! - The story advances like any adventure-style game, and along the way, you’ll meet plenty of unique characters!

A very annoying game to play, Needs a lot of quality of life improvements (like fullscreen!? or at least change resolution, sound volume etc) . It somehow requires you to have your hands on both sides of the keyboard and the mouse to play so I'm constantly having to move. Just play reccatear instead.

By mistake I closed the game and lost 40 minutes of progress. As stupid game was not giving any warning like "do you want to quite and loose all unsaved progress"?

Lack of fullscreen and controller support is annoying but it could have been saved if it felt unique and charming. Sadly it just seems to be a budget Recettear clone. It is not something i would recommend.

Very cute game. Not as complex as Recettear, but still amusing. A Few bugs ( i recommend save often also with second or third saves, when you wanna be sure to get the achievements, also restart game when picture or text goes blurry)

AL・FINE is a mix between Visual Novel / Shop Management. It is a nice game but it's not quite like Recettear. The VN story is about a boy that destroy a Pixie's jewel and to pay it back he reopens his parents shop. There is other NPCs present in the story but this game doesn't have any romance or NPC route. The main purpose of the Shop is to sell a lot of items and compete with others shops in commerce battles. You have 100 days until the end of the game and 4 commerce battles to win. Difference between Recettear: ・ You don't haggle with customers ・ You can't visit the dungeon ・ Every town building visit will waste a time period ・ No other modes are present in the game (Endless, Survival, etc.) I enjoyed playing this game but there is some issues to keep in mind. ・ Fixed game screen / No Fullscreen ・ Sometimes when you enter the shop it gets bugged ・ Lack of other modes or a way to keep playing beyound the main story

So people compare this game to Recettear but it's totally different: it's a shop management mixed with (a relaxing) visual novel. It has some flaws like the lack of fullscreen (however you can play it in 4:3 near-fullscreen by setting your desktop resolution to 1024x768). The story isn't bad, the characters are super cute and the management part is very simple but quite fun (you need to buy things to resell at the right price, or equip/pay adventurers to bring back some things to sell from their quests). This game deserves a better rating.
