About Tales of Seikyu
Seikyu is a quiet island sanctuary, hidden far from the noise of the human world. Here, yokai spirits live in harmony with nature and the turning seasons. You and your sister begin your new lives in an old farmhouse - a place filled with memories, and room to begin anew. There's always something to tend, someone to chat with, or a quiet corner you haven't discovered yet.Seikyu isn't a place you rush through. It's a place you can return to. Your days follow a rhythm you create. Tend the farm, wander into town, or follow a path you haven't explored before. Some days you'll harvest. Some days you'll decorate. Some days you'll stumble across something you weren't expecting.Expand your fields at your own pace, grow seasonal crops, and raise chickens, cows, sheep, and capybaras. Craft furniture and gradually create a space that feels like home. The people of Seikyu have their own lives, routines, and quiet worries. Torleone, the thoughtful otter fisherman. Sasaki, the well-meaning carpenter who's always in the middle of a project. Nyotengu, the watchful guardian of the island skies.Spend time with them and you'll start to notice the small changes - new dialogue, shared traditions, and story moments that unfold naturally over time. Their stories are interwoven, and yours will become part of that tapestry. As a descendant of the Fox Clan, you carry the gift of shapeshifting. Transform to experience the island in new ways - charge through fields as a boar, soar on the wind as a tengu, or slip beneath the waves as a water spirit. Each form opens new corners of Seikyu: hidden ruins, distant hilltops, and sunken treasures.Cherry blossoms give way to summer heat. Autumn leaves fall. Snow settles on the rooftops. Seikyu lives and breathes through every season, shaping the crops you grow, the festivals you attend, and the pace of life around you.

There is something really charming about this game and I had a lot of fun exploring its world and taking care of my little farm!! its a cute farming life sim with a really interesting yokai theme, where you can grow crops, raise animals, explore the island and even transform into different creatures with unique abilities. i really liked how the game mixes relaxing farming with exploration, adventure and a bit of magic, making it feel like theres always something new to discover. definitely a lovely choice for anyone who enjoys cozy farming games with fantasy, cute characters and a more unusual setting!!24 found this helpful
I got it in a twitch raffle because I was interested in the concept and it did seem like there was generative AI used in some places, especially how Kon looks in her portraits (which almost never matches her tone and the expressions make little sense) but I gave it the benefit of the doubt at first. It feels very copy the farming sim recipe with a unique concept but terrible execution and who knows how much Generative AI slop really was used in the process. I've tried really hard to go with the game even if it feels very unpolished and droll with the execution of the story but there are so many things that get in the way of playing it. NPCs get stuck in the same position for as long as it takes you to do the particular quest they are in that location for, even if you haven't gotten to the quest yet because someone related to that very quest is also held up in a location you can't get to yet because the path is blocked by requiring an offering to open the door to where he is?? so I can't access some NPCs half of the time because the questlines are all tangled up but rapid fire with giving me the quests. I also HATE fishing in this game, I love fishing in games and normally it'…8 found this helpful
At first, this game was great! Was cute and fun. I didn't like how empty the world was outside of the town though, and the sound design for watering and planting is...grating. It's EXTREMELY genshin coded with most animations, obviously the scenery too, but I was already aware of that from the trailer and stuff. The story felt...short. It's also a huge headache to get money in the game, but maybe there are secret money making ways I'm unaware of, unsure. But, I put all that aside cause I genuinely enjoyed the game. But, the more I played, the more the red flags kept popping up. The characters are boring, not much depth to most of them aside from maybe
Kincho
. A lot of the mysteries were also spoiled for me cause the models just weren't loading correctly for me. I'm disappointed by a lot of the dialogue with characters as well, as they mostly just repeat phrases or conversations. Especially the 3 newcomers later in the story. The animations for things like hugging and kissing also needs work. I would much rather be hugged than worry the person is about to suplex me. I would also prefer it to look like I'm getting kissed by someone instead of a robot that leans fo…3 found this helpful
I think the game is beautiful - that being said, I do wish they would have used less AI. I haven't fully completed the game, but what I have played I've enjoyed. Though I do have several things I would like to see updated: you go through the trouble of having to craft a large bed and stuff for your spouse to get married. Then afterwards they sleep in a separate room and you can't sleep in the same bed (this appears to have been updated recently), but you can still have sleepover dates and share a bed, but the dialogue is the same as if you were dating. Additional dialogue would be nice as well. The fox underground can be very confusing at times and the map appears very hard to understand for me.1 found this helpful
fun
Over 80 hours i spent in this game and to be honest it was worth it. Game is good looking , solid mechanics, okay combat , good characters designs and solid music. This game has massive potential , they need to add more charachters and maybe longer main story. Overall : 9/10
