About A Midnight Village Story
Welcome to Midnight Village, an island where the night rules the skies, yet the folk live simple, cozy lives... but in a village where night rules the skies, are there any secrets to be discovered?
You walk the shoes of Kurosuke, newly moved in to Midnight Village.
Talk to the villagers of Midnight Village throughout the twelve days of midnight.
Learn the secrets of the villagers and befriend them throughout your journey.
Explore the island of the Midnight Village with it's lush forest.
What will you uncover? Perhaps stories of spies? Ghosts and demons? Or curses, even murder!?
Whatever you find out, whatever happens, it's all a part of this story about the Midnight Village.

I'm not really sure if A Midnight Village Story is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. Really, this looks a lot like a bunch of low poly/cartoony/anime assets (characters possibly done with a simple character generator), dumped onto Unreal's third person blueprint with a minimal effort expended in (badly) writing some dialogue. Of course we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. And if the developer really did create all these assets by hand instead of taking someone else's work and putting their own name on it (unethical), what a waste of time that was. You run around a village/forest environment and talk to NPCs, that's pretty much the sole scope and ambition of this low effort shovelware. It's an ok game, but there minor issues which it can be fixed right away. The storyline is good at all and it's a first time for this game company made an open world sandbox to walk around. I should leave some guides in case if any have trouble with the minor issues which you will enjoy the game better for performance and experience.4 found this helpful
Unfortunately, as soon as I loaded into the game it started severely lagging whenever I tried to move or look around making the choppy and unenjoyable to play. Exiting the beginning house was a task in itself, I couldn't open the door easily as there was no ability to interact with it other than pushing through by sheer force. Interaction with the NPC's was out of the question, as there was no way to interact even when pressing the designated button. This could be a nice game but it needs a lot of review and work to make a better experience for players.4 found this helpful
