The 'Hunt Reborn' improves how the game looks, but nothing else.
EDIT: I re-played this after the dev remastered it. All I can tell is that the models look cleaner/crisper and the movement is a little better. But everything else is just as janky and messed up as before. The dev hasn't really shown any growth, at least in this game. I bought this on sale and I got ripped off. Good for a laugh.

I wish STEAM allowed for comment reviews without forcing an up or down vote. I can't actually recommend the game in its current state, but there is some potential. This a very rough (emphasis VERY) open-world adventure with a police procedural story. It starts with you waking up on the street with your pink-haired cop girlfriend standing over you; you get up so she can help you walk back to the car, and that's where the weakness in the game engine and animations make themselves evident. The walking and driving physics are very crude but (barely) playable. The art is similarly crude, but has a unique low-poly hand drawn style that works well enough. I managed to get through a few minutes of the game until I got to a shootout scene, where the physics got the better of me and I gave up after a few tries. My impression is that the dev tried to do everything themselves (engine, art, animations, story) that extended beyond their ability to make a polished product. My recommendation would be to use an established engine with imported assets to free up more time to work on a single aspect of the game, e.g. the story.
