About All Hallows Evie
It's the day before Halloween, and Spooktoids have only gone and stolen all the candy buckets from around town.
They have made off with them into their underground, sometimes over-ground (never wombling free) caverns and intend to hoard them for themselves, ruining Halloween in the process!
Not on Evie's watch!
Evie chased the Spooktoids down and located the entrance to their lair!
Now she must navigate the caverns and collect all the candy buckets so the good folks of the town have candy to dish out on Halloween!
This is very much an 80's inspired retro game!
You must collect all the items on each screen to open the exit and progress to the next.
You must jump gaps, climb ladders, avoid nasties and not touch anything pointy!
Should you fall into a trap or hit a Spooktoid, you will lose a life and restart the screen!
This is a very difficult little game but not unfair!
Learn the baddie paths and practice any level you get stuck on with the handy practice mode, once you have reached that level of course!

Fun little game. Don't expect too much but it's fun, casual and worth playing.5 found this helpful

"All Hallows Evie" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a poorly made, painfully generic "retro" 2D pixelcrap platformer where you take on the role of Evie, who must navigate caverns to collect all the candy buckets that have been stolen by the Spooktoids to save Halloween. Collect all the stuff in each platformer level to move on to the next screen, or, as did just about anyone who installed this, quickly uninstall it instead. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. The "game" here, such as it is, is of a pretty low technical standard. The implementation is basic, minmimum effort stuff, more like a 'weekend project' rather than a commercial/professional product... it's bad even compared to most amateur made games. It is a slavish Manic Miner clone, right down to concepts like the moving light of the Solar Power Generator, and heavy use of collapsing floors. Definite homebrew feel, with bad "programmer graphics", and in some respects it feels half-finished, but the level design is quite solid, so if you are specifically a Manic Miner fan then you may enjoy this. Personally I got to the 7th screen in ten minutes and then lost interest.
