Oh, adventure game logic. It’s that dangerous reasoning that expects us to throw a shoe at a cat to prevent our death hours later, or steal fur from a cat to make a mustache to match an ID with no mustache. The worst offenders of this practice have been relegated to the annals of gaming history but weird logic still crops up from time to time. All Haze Eve suffers from a mild case of adventure game logic, but gets by on a limited scope that keeps your flailing to a minimum. And when you’re not flailing, it proves to be a unique and charming little Halloween romp. Halloween has indeed come around once again, and this time you’ve been invited to a particular part of the neighborhood for a special treat. It won’t exactly be easy to get, though, because all manner of creeps and creatures are out as well. They’re plenty friendly so long as you stick to treats instead of tricks, and you’ll need their help to get past some of the barriers in your way. Those barriers give way to some surprising encounters with skeletons, fish men, and other ominous residents, and the surprises don’t stop when you finally get your promised treat, either. The surprises are the best part of All Haze Eve, al…9 found this helpful
full disclosure without using a steam guide I would probably not have gotten past the first puzzle. That being said, this is a charming little experience. Delightfully eerie, reminds me of pottsfield in over the garden wall like I'm clearly in a place living people aren't meant to be. But hey, it's halloween and you gotta have candy. It's cheap enough anyway but pick it up in a sale if you're unsure and don't be afraid to use a guide and it's a memorable little game. Make sure to play it in one sitting as well cause you don't wanna lose the vibe.3 found this helpful
A very strange and eerie game, its a fun little adventure game definitely worth trying over the spooky season. Bit short but I'm sure there are things I have yet to discover in the game.2 found this helpful
All Haze Eve is a short but sweet puzzle game where you slowly unlock more parts of the map by messing around with items in the map.. for how small the space is, I found it a bit confusing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWwoWURCuhc2 found this helpful
I wanted to like this game but I feel neutral about it. Worth maybe 50 cents and only play it on Halloween. It says that there are no alternative endings but I bet there are depending on what you choose to be in the beginning and I would say that your choices matter, because there was a lot to intereact with that did NOTHING, but I tried everything with everything and you are forced down the path so there is only one correct path (because it's forced) so it just leaves you feeling confused and incomplete once you "beat" it. Maybe those other interactions are for replay with different character choices but I wasn't entertained enough to waste my time with it again yet alone 2 more times. :/1 found this helpful
