Ambition

Ambition is a badly made 2D retro pixel JRPG ripoff slapped together by filling out a JRPG template in Unity. Why not just use RPG Maker? The end result is the same, ugly, asset flip looking 2D retro pixel garbage. Gameplay is a buggy quagmire of lightweight/dumbed down RPG gameplay that makes the average RPG Maker asset flip look sophisticated. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While you can change the resolution in the game thanks to the default Unity launcher, this doesn't change the resolution, it just scales up the low quality, badly done 2D retro pixel "art" assets. There's no way to fix the ugly jaggies. There's no other graphics tweaks. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. …

Игра "Ambition" предлагает захватывающий геймплей, сочетающий стратегию и элементы управления. Увлекательный сюжет, динамичные миссии и глубокая система развития персонажей делают её цепляющей. Однако сложная кривая обучения и иногда нестабильная оптимизация могут отпугнуть новичков. Графика сдержана, но соответствует жанру. Рекомендую тем, кто ценит стратегические вызовы и готов к обучению. В целом — достойный проект с потенциалом для улучшений.

This game literally broke itself on turn. Because it has turn-based fighting... displaying options and none reacting to my clicks. Well done, broke game in less than 1 minute. I press "E" to interact with NPC, it opens inventory... 3 NPCs in one map says exactly same thing - for their text to progress you need to click on it. Do not press E, that opens inventory...

Nope! Boring.
