About Ambition of the Slimes
A new type of tactical RPG title that flips the script! Slimes, the weakest of RPG enemies, have the ability to take over enemy units and fight!
\
This is a strategic turn-based RPG, but it is Slimes that you control. Slimes can take over an enemy and control them in battle.
For example, a Slime can utilise archers, or use magic if they take over a magician. They can even bewilder an enemy with a bribe if they take over a merchant.
In addition there are various kinds of Slimes:
Some of them can warp.
Some of them can improve the abilities of the possessed enemy.
And many more...
Each stage poses key strategic questions. Which Slime will you use on each enemy? How will you take them over?
For example the element of a Slime is very important for a capture. This is a tough game, too, so you cannot win by charging in recklessly - tactics are vital.
The appearance of this game may be lighthearted, but a big challenge awaits!
\
The world was about to be ruined.
The brutal humans arrived and almost took over the whole world.
They burnt the forest, polluting the water and the sky.
They were tyrannical, almost ruining the land.
And they threatened the Slimes that offered little resistance; they did not have great power and merely waited for extinction.
Then the Slimes realised they could take over the human bodies and use that strength against their enemies.
The Slime counterattack began.

Very fun, a few flaws like awkward poorly translated dialogue, but the gameplay saves it.1 found this helpful
Here's my review after fully completing this game. This is going to go into more detail than just the plot summary, if you want that go read the description in the Store Page. The story and plot is whatever, you're playing this for the gameplay. More specifically, the strategy part. This game is difficult. But that's not until Challenge Levels 3 and up; the Easy level maps can be cleared comfortably if you apply some basic strategy and actually think before you YOLO all your slimes into the enemy. Normal could take a few tries, but nothing to rip your hair out about. If you still get stuck in a particular map, try clearing another one and expanding your slime collection. The higher Challenge levels though? You WILL learn how AI target priority works. Planning your positioning based on which units move first. Which way your Divide Slime/Goddess's Hands split. And you'll restart over and over again until you find a good combination to clear the map with. Don't want to deal with that? Stick to Easy mode. The 'grind' that is mentioned is either replaying a map for slimes, or to level your slimes up. Considering your slimes' combat abilities are worthless, the leveling is pretty muc…1 found this helpful
This has some big differences to the old demo I played back as a Kid on the 3Ds. I got the game for nostalgia. I do not recall the womens chests being.. large in the nintendo version. Turns out, they weren't! The art is DIFFERENT for that version and much more tame/kid friendly. PLUS I Learned later there is an ability that melts armor (which is neat in theory for combat) but also melts clothes and thus has weird undertones and stuff... Uncomfortable. I avoid using this ability so I am not sure how far it goes other than what I looked up. Seems some of the challenge levels might also require it given enemies for example the leader of the thief village thing that has a 1% catch rate but massive attacks that instakill, so without using the ability it seems intentionally difficult to get certain slimes from challenge levels and so on. Aside from the weird creepy slime ability and strange undertones it is/can be a good strategy rpg. However it is not what I remember and I am very disappointed in how the game depicts its characters. I'd rather just take the time to over level slimes to stomp enemies than use the "intended" routes. Gross.
I'm totally hooked on this game. I love it so much. My target is aiming for 100% completion (or at leats 75), even it is impossible. It's a shame there are barely any guides to completing each level, especially on difficulty Challenge. I had to figure out every strategy myself just to survive each difficulty level. This game deserves way more attention. It's a hidden gem that more people should be playing
Its ok just very grindy
