The game was amazing for the time being but now its unplayable cannot end your runs and after you do manage to finish a campaign your stuck on the screen and cannot return to the menu you also have to go into the files for the game and delete _temp every time you want to just play if they fix it in the hopefully near future I will return to it but for now there's other options for time wasters5 found this helpful
The game is funny, and I think there's a lot of fun in it, but the UI needs a lot of help. It's hard to know what you're supposed to be doing much of the time.2 found this helpful
I'm going through my backlog 15 minutes at a time, so keep that in mind, I only gave this game it's 15 minutes, and that's what the review is based on. It's not bad. However, it's not great, either. It seems like there is fun to be had, but the tutorial was kind of a slog that had me doing the same thing for literally 15 minutes and maybe more had I continued on. Otherwise, though, the gameplay was good, the graphics were exactly what I'd expect for this style of game, and the controls weren't anything outrageously hard to grasp. If I could give it a number, I'd say 3/5, but with thumbs up or down, I'll give it a thumbs up because I think it's probably a better game than the first 15 minutes show.1 found this helpful
Popup Dungeon is an unusual and refreshingly ambitious title that refuses to fit neatly into a single genre. Developed by Triple.B.Titles and published by Balor Games, it blends tactical combat, roguelike progression, tabletop influences, and extensive user-generated content into one expansive experience. From the moment players enter its world, the game establishes itself as a tribute to imagination, offering a colorful papercraft presentation that makes every encounter feel as though it has sprung from the pages of a fantasy storybook. While many RPGs focus solely on delivering a scripted adventure, Popup Dungeon instead hands players the keys to an entire creative toolbox. The game's central premise revolves around climbing the mysterious Wizard's Tower, a place filled with bizarre scenarios and an ever-changing assortment of enemies. Narrated with personality and humor, the campaign carries a lighthearted tone that complements the game's visual style. What initially appears to be a straightforward dungeon crawler quickly evolves into something much larger, introducing science fiction settings, horror-inspired missions, and countless unexpected twists. The sheer variety of envi…
Unfortunately, for a game that seems to have a lot going for it, once you get into it, it quickly falls apart. I found the game to be extremely boring and bland. I played through several levels with all kinds of different parties, and just did not have a good time with it. The concept is really neat, the art style is pretty cool, the sound design and music tracks are alright. The UI could use some work, but it isn't the worst I have seen. Theoretically this game should be doing pretty well in my books, but I just found it to be seriously tedious and boring. Add onto the fact the game does not run well at all. This isn't a game from the 90s that you should have to wrestle with to get it working properly, or even from the 2000s. It barely reached even a few years old before it started just, not working properly. Even if you think I am wrong, and that the game does look like a lot of fun to play, and you are interested in it, do you really want to roll the dice (haha funny) and see if the game works or not? From what I can tell the game has been fully abandoned, and it is not popular enough to even have a dedicated fanbase who want to fix it. Do not waste your money buying this, a…
