About An Interesting Journey of Monsieur PAF

Trapped in an ancient temple during an archeological expedition, Monsieur PAF needs to find a way to get out by solving puzzles left by a forgotten civilization.

An Interesting Journey of Monsieur PAF is a platform / isometric puzzle game. Sharing similar mechanics with the Sokoban, Monsieur PAF attempts to revisit the genre using 3D verticality in magnificent homemade, two-dimensional environments.

- EXOTIC ADVENTURE: Live the cool day-to-day life of an archeologist like no other and walk through the depths of a mysterious temple buried in the heart of a faraway jungle.
- DIABOLICAL PUZZLES: Will you find the solution to the many puzzles left by an ancient civilization on your way out? Or will you let this temple become your eternal tomb?
- MONSIEUR PAF IS TOO POWERFUL! Nothing can stop you: lift, move or break elements around you with your strong muscles. Seems that all those nights spent at the library lifting tons and tons of books have proven to be useful.
- COLLECT THEM ALL: Careful! You could acquire a taste for puzzles and spend way too many hours going back to solve ALL mysteries and secrets kept in this ancient temple
- JUST PLAY: You can play and stop whenever you want, alone or with friends on a shared screen. You can’t lose, as Monsieur PAF cannot die: just have fun!

This game is basically just okay -- the graphics, UI, puzzles. Sound is actually quite good. The bland lighting often makes the 3D structure hard to determine. The gameplay requires some platforming skills, which can be a little frustrating, since the movements are quite nonlinear/discrete. After 30 minutes of gameplay, I feel like this game's puzzle elements are not the best designed, and I feel unmotivated to continue further.3 found this helpful
An Interesting Journey of Monsieur PAF is an indie puzzle-adventure game reminiscent of the classic Sokoban, where players must push objects within a limited space. However, it adds a twist — the character can also jump, introducing more flexibility and possibilities in solving puzzles. The game features beautifully hand-drawn illustrations with a strong artistic flair, and its story is both heartwarming and deeply meaningful. 2 found this helpful
One of the most beautiful and enjoyable puzzle games I've ever played. I really cannot decide what I loved more -- the puzzles, intertwined levels or the amazing art style; either way, I consider it a true masterpiece. Big thanks to Ernestine developers team for such a wonderful journey.
i really tried to like it, however, it has horrible controls, (I think it is part of making the game hard just for the sake of making it hard by having stupid controls or bad code with extra lag on acknowledging input; it sometimes goes too far or sometimes it doesn't even get engaged, especially when trying to push stuff. so the last 20 minutes or more of time wasted, I was trying to get the character to jump and stay on top of one of the stones, but it kept either going too far and fell or wasn't pushing enough to land on it; anyways puzzles are hard and good but if I can not focus on solving the puzzle and struggle with my controls (I was even pushing the buttons harder as if the buttons on the controller were sticky and firing properly, which isn't the case i am playing lots of other games which don't have this kind of lame controls).
An Interesting Journey of Monsieur PAF, developed by Ernestine and published by Plug In Digital in collaboration with Ernestine, is a quietly charming puzzle adventure that places thoughtful spatial reasoning and visual clarity at the center of its design. Rather than relying on narrative exposition or mechanical complexity, the game invites players into a carefully constructed ancient temple and asks them to progress purely through observation, logic, and patience. It is a modestly scoped experience, but one that demonstrates a clear understanding of what makes puzzle-solving satisfying without overwhelming the player. The premise is intentionally simple and almost wordless. You guide Monsieur PAF, a stout and expressive explorer, through a mysterious ruin after an expedition goes awry. There is no dialogue and little in the way of explicit storytelling; instead, the sense of adventure emerges organically from the environment itself. Crumbling stone structures, mechanical contraptions, and layered chambers suggest a forgotten civilization whose logic must be deciphered room by room. This minimalism allows the player to project their own sense of discovery onto the journey, making…
