Andro Dunos (アンドロデュノス, in Japanese) is a horizontal scrolling arcade game of the shoot 'em up (shmup) family.

This is a well-crafted retro-style shoot em up praised for its engaging gameplay, clever weapon system, and authentic '90s arcade feel with good level design and memorable bosses. Players appreciate the balanced difficulty and solid graphics, though the soundtrack is serviceable rather than memorable. The main criticisms center on the premium pricing at full cost and the lack of Steam Cloud saves, which can be frustrating for progression loss, though these concerns diminish significantly when purchased on sale.
Already played it a ton on Switch, and it's one of the better horizontal shmups in my opinion. Hopefully I can get the 1CC someday.
A short, easy to learn but hard to master retro shoot 'em up featuring seven action-packed stages where the fun doesn't end after beating the main campaign. Completing the game unlocks Boss Rush Mode where you'll face every main boss back-to-back with only four lives and no continues. Beat Boss Rush and you'll unlock two additional retro-inspired bonus stages: Respect 1992 A and Respect 1992 B. If you're aiming for full completion, don't stop after finishing the campaign. Overall, it's a fun experience that's well worth picking up on sale.
Very solid shoot em up. The graphics are nice and the gameplay is great - the weapon system is designed in a very clever way and quite original. The difficulty is exactly how I like it: it's challenging but not crazy difficult, and if you learn the projectile patterns enough and you focus you can go quite a while without getting hit. The sound department is fine although some of the music is a tad generic, but maybe I'm being harsh because this kind of game often has a stellar soundtrack so this is good by all means just not too memorable. The highlight is the boss of the penultimate level, the spaceship, very cool.
I like this game. Solid if you like side scrolling arcade shooters.
I've originally played this on my nintendo switch. And I can honesty tell you that this game is peak adro dunos.It was voted best shmup of 2013.
High-quality retro shmup, feels completely authentic to the better stuff from the '90s. Plays well, good level design, goes crazy towards the end with over-the-top bosses and wild moments. Reminds me of Gate of Thunder, I'd say.
