About Infinos Gaiden
"Infinos Gaiden" is a 90's arcade style side scrolling shooter.
Overcome structures and gimmicks, and let's Complete all of the 7 stages!
Let's use the "bit" equipped by obtaining items!
The bits can shoot 3 different lasers!
The composition of the stages is dramatic!
Many gimmicks, enemy characters, and huge bosses are waiting for each stages!
Let's challenge repeatedly and capture these!
A graphic with dots reminiscent of the 90's. It is even more impressive to use rotation and scaling.
Hyakutaro Tsukumo's BGM makes the worldview of the game deeper.

Picorinne (a developer that is mostly a single person) already showed a lot of promise with Battle Crust, but this far surpasses it while staying true to the principle of maintaining old shoot-em-up design. Right from the 4:3 aspect ratio and the intro, Infinos Gaiden looks like something you'd see run on MAME, precisely from the 1993–95 timeframe. Compared to Battle Crust, which could be even a little drab at times, this game is much more colorful and sports some top-notch spaceship and mecha designs. Even better than the graphics is the amazing soundtrack, once again a collaboration with composer Hyakutaro Tsukumo; I especially love the tracks of levels 3 and 6, but also the tense boss theme. Don't go in expecting your ship to become some death machine: the power-ups are in fact quite "modest", as they consist of two small pods for additional fire, with extra colored pickups for some more "specialized" shots. The only function of the second button is to move the pods so as to get a wider (or rear, in the case of one of those shots) or more concentrated fire. It may feel too "essential", even if you are a fan of the genre, but on the other hand this sensatio…4 found this helpful
Incredibly awesome game. Tried it because Andro Dunos II is so good and man was I missing out. This game has incredible pixel art with cool scaling and a really nice soundtrack. Reminds me of Thunderforce IV, Gate of Thunder and Darius Gaiden. Mad it took me so long to try this game.2 found this helpful
Very special experience for classic shmap arcades, reminds me Konami's Thunder Cross. Good music, awesome level design (especially for Stage 6), nice variability of weapons and options. The only thing is changing difficulty during the game, but I cannot complain about it, it's the same for all arcade shmap games. Thank you for giving us this experience. Also... WHY SOUNDTRACK IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE ACTUAL GAME?!?!?!?!1 found this helpful
While it's mostly a good shooter, it has that stupid backwards shmup mentality that you need a ton of power-ups to even fly at a decent speed and do any damage, so dying once completely screws your entire run and you're left dying 25 times in a row within seconds of each other since you don't have enough power to kill enemies before the screen is full of shots and you don't have the speed to dodge anything. What is even the point of giving you all these extra lives and credits if you're practically forced to beat the game on one life?
Fun.
