Players appreciate the intriguing concept and creepy atmosphere that effectively builds tension for a survival horror experience, but many encounter significant technical and design issues that hamper enjoyment. Common complaints include confusing early game guidance, gamebreaking bugs like instant deaths on spawn and movement freezes, and difficulty spikes that prevent players from learning the mechanics before encountering lethal encounters. While some see potential in the game's foundation and are hopeful about future development, current technical problems and unclear onboarding make it di
The concept is intriguing and holds a lot of potential. The creepy vibe of the game keeps you on edge, which is exactly what you want from a survival horror experience. However, I did find myself a bit lost at the beginning. Some guidance or direction would be beneficial, as it took me a while to figure things out. Despite the initial confusion, I gradually started to understand the mechanics and the story, which made the gameplay more enjoyable. I'm excited to see how this game develops in the future. Overall, I'd rate Anomalous Deception a solid 6/10. It's a promising start, and with some improvements, it could become a standout title in the survival horror genre.4 found this helpful

Hmm... I keep getting my neck snapped instantly on spawn. I haven't even gotten far enough to figure out what the game is really about. To the dev - I can't move when I come back to life at the beginning of the hallway - I made it about halfway down before dying the first time. I didn't have time to figure out game mechanics before getting stuck in a gamebreaking loop. I chose normal difficulty and I only made it through the first door... Hopefully it gets patched?1 found this helpful
