Worse, he wakes up and realizes he’s actually turned into a girl. Now Eggy has to survive in a men’s dorm with:
Jia Xu (“Eggy”) – A small-time streamer who wakes up as a girl after a cheating incident. Airheaded with a dash of chunibyo; now forced to handle a wild new life in a girl’s body.Monkey – Eggy’s best friend and roommate. Goofy on the surface, fiercely loyal underneath. Tries to cover for his bro’s “sudden change” and gets pulled into all kinds of ridiculous situations.Qin Lian – Monkey’s girlfriend, an anime-obsessed girl who takes Eggy in and becomes his first close female friend. With her help, Eggy slowly adapts to a new identity.Wu Yangyang – The campus beauty with a Shaanxi-accented, tough-guy soul. She shares Eggy’s predicament, and the contrast fuels endless comedy.Pangpang – A quirky companion met on the road. Once a cute girl, now a chubby boy whose antics make the journey even louder and livelier.“I Am God” – A mysterious figure who pops up across games and “punishes” cheaters—the mastermind behind the gender-swaps. Got the game on sale and it's a lot of fun. That said it's not very long and the translation is a bit rough. Now I just want more wholesome gender bender games like this. Sadly most games with this trope tend to be full on porn games, so this game was great for people who like gender bender stories but don't want NSFW games. For fans of this genre I'd buy it already just so hopefully more games like this get made.9 found this helpful
I bought this game because I appreciate true indie gems across the globe more, among the many good ones around us. The title itself is uniquely brash and bold. :p It is a chillaxin' slice-of-life, modern Chinese visual novel that blends a light, humorous comedic presentation of gender-bending with anime-style tropes. It reminds me a bit of Ranma 1/2, Ayakashi Triangle, and Onimai, but it also packs deep, meaningful, and subtle moral messages that never feel preachy or boring. Note that some of the language can be quite harsh and is definitely not suitable for kids—this one is more for teens and up. The plot is solid and fairly linear, offering a few choices for players to make—exactly what you would expect from a standard visual novel. The acting isn't great but it is tolerable; you cannot expect too much from a low-budget project. Overall, it is understandable. And as promised, I will definitely support more games from Asia, especially since recent Western games are becoming so weird—similar to some movies from 'Hollyweird" lot. So, yeah! I still prefer to keep my mental health sane by avoiding them, saving my money for upcoming, better games from South-East Asia …3 found this helpful
I admit I initially bought this just because I found the description funny and wanted to stream this to friends on Discord, but lowkey the ending / story surprised me - its not super nuanced or even really interesting, but it was way more fun and surreal than I was expecting from a silly FMV game. bro Monkey is still my GOAT if you ignore that one part where he sexually harasses you (he was possessed by the writers at that point, he would never do such a thing).3 found this helpful
Surprisingly, pretty enjoyable game. There are many amusing moments. You will certainly laugh out loud from time to time. The gameplay is neither long or difficult. It's not a continuously running video, but more like a picture slideshow combined from photographs and sounds. There are several short video clips appearing, only lasting a few seconds. (That’s why the game is so compact in size. Only 4 GB on your hard drive). However, the pictures are entertaining, well-made, and effectively illustrate the situations and portray emotions. The English translation isn’t perfect, but if you play Asian FMVs, you’ve surely encountered much worse. I took it positively, because some of the English mistakes actually make the sketches even funnier and more amusing. One technical issue. I tried playing the game on a MacBook Pro with an Apple Silicon chip, and the new MacOS 26 Tahoe. But the game frequently crashed for no particular reason. Considering this is an older game, it likely lacks the necessary optimization for newer chips under new MacOS. Under a Windows installation via Whiskey, the game ran smoothly and without issues in a virtual Bottle even on MacBook. Fazit In ge…1 found this helpful
Very strange and offbeat story. There's a lot of solid jokes and the actors all have fun with it. It's fun to play a Chinese game and get to see a bit of the culture. The game is totally linear, there are two endings to play through but no other choices. The translation of the main story is good, but some UI elements are not translated.1 found this helpful
It's a really cute gender bender visual novel with real actors and a bit of FMV. I enjoyed it a lot. Somewhere in the middle of the game you make a massive choice that puts you on one of two paths. After finishing one path, you can return to the chapter where the choice is made and clear the other path. Steam achievement names are broken. Not a huge deal but I hope they get fixed. Note for Steam Deck and GNU/Linux users: Although the game is verified, some videos will be replaced by a test pattern if ran through the official built-in Proton. I assume this is a missing codec issue. To fix it, you can use something like GE-Proton and everything works as intended. I think this issue really shouldn't exist in a verified game, though...1 found this helpful
