About Blightlands Blacksmith
Features
- Follow a fantasy smithing process from mining to rune-crafting, with every step affecting the appearance, quality, damage, and value of your weapons.
- Explore a vast abandoned mine loaded with materials, enemies, and lore.
- Drive the progress of the cohort (and game) by supplying weapons for scouting and battle.
- Sell weapons to adventurers by matching your weapons to discovered locations and adventurer class.
- Navigate the world in first person.
Forge the weapons you need
Enjoy the process of crafting mighty weapons with your own two hands. Smelting, forging, assembling, grinding, and rune-carving will all determine who will buy them, what they're worth, and what they're capable of slaying.

Use your weapons, don't just sell them
Fight your way through excavations overrun by enemies, and battle the evil that turned a mining province into the Blightlands. Strafe, combo, block, always remembering you need the right weapon for the job.
Design weapons from daggers to war-hammers
Choose from 8 classes of weapon, with thousands of possible variations of shape alone. Different materials alter durability and damage, and alloys can be made from any mined metal. Craft smaller scouting weapons to allow the legion to discover new locations, or larger weapons to enable the cohort to progress through the Blightlands.

Explore and gather
Seek out and find the materials you need in a vast abandoned mine. Use your trusty cart to store your ore, tools, weapons, and light as you navigate through the twisting tunnels.
Live life in the legion camp
Interact with the cohort, your fellow shop-keepers, and adventurers as you conduct your business in the civilian area of the camp. Trade with the cutler and quartermaster, gather rumors or seek healing at the tavern, and track your progress at the Banner Office.

If I could write a neutral review, I would do so. Blightlands Blacksmith, for me, has very good and very relaxed blacksmithing mechanics, EXCEPT for the assembly portion. Designing a weapon ( albeit with a limited amount of design choices) feels good, Hammering away a hot glowing ingot feels good, Sharpening sort of is OK but for the life of me I can't keep track of both tapping Space and A and D simultaneously. Mining is simply atrocious, pulling the cart is nauseating, and the combat is not at all there. You just craft yourself a high dmg weappon with enough eldritch damage and you're good. The mining portion becomes non-existent even, if you gather 10 of each ore and sell it to the quartermaster. The story follows an interesting premise, and I love that I am the manufacturer of weapons for the legion. I love that my work progresses to the "campaign" of the legion depending on what kind of weapon I sell to the banner officer. What I do not like about this, is that the scouting missions have an absurdly slow turnaround time and have rewards that are redundant. I wish that we have agency on what scouting mission to support. Overall, I'd say the crafting mechanics are close…4 found this helpful

THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
Love the concept and the game play loop, the UI could use some updates and some QOL fixes as well with how items are transferred from inventory to hand. I definitely see the potential of this game.
