The game is a lot of fun. There's enough strategy in it to make it interesting. Enough of a progression to keep you playing and growing. And it's something you can plan for a bit and put down and come back to it later. Kinda addicting.2 found this helpful
So, this game isn't that bad. Clearly a ton of work has gone into it, and it has so many levels you could play this a really long time. The issue is it's just a bit too slow overall for me. Like not just the levels, but the progression. I'm guessing this game was on mobile at some point, because it seems to be structured like a mobile game where everything can be slowly upgraded/unlocked. With the level structure, each level can feel pretty much the same without trying out new traps. The issue is these traps unlock very slow, and it makes more sense to upgrade existing traps that work well. Maybe if there was some speed up option on levels, it would be better. It doesn't fix the overall feel of the game though. I do think a lot of people will enjoy this though, just not me. There's plenty of good reviews, and I bought this off steam, so my review won't bring the game's score down.1 found this helpful

I missed not having the mobile version all these years. Glad to be able to play it again, and it's great that there's been some touch-ups to keep everything fresh. The Roguevenge mode is a nice challenge and a good way to grind currency, which is still pretty heavily needed, and I was instantly hooked on there being new traps like the Mario-esque fire bar. Loving all the references here and there. The control room decorations and drip are also a welcome way to add some style and encourage you to diversify your strategies since the currency for it is temporarily frozen on traps you use enough.
