In doing so and succeeding on expeditions, restore the desolate landscape to its former lush state. With many different Chimera to discover and facilities to upgrade, players can spend hours immersed and enjoying the island sanctuary they've created.
Chimera
Each of the three starting Chimera has the potential to turn into one of three unique evolutions. By customizing their training, you can adjust the course of their destiny and guide their evolutions down distinct paths. Can you collect all 12 Chimera?

"Chimera Island" is an hour long minigame/tech demo that feels more like a prologue for a bigger game that never appeared. What do you do in the game? Explore a low poly/cartoony island, collect all the pokemon/statues etc... it's over in less than an hour. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily m…2 found this helpful
It's not a game with strong active gameplay, but it's not an idler either. Basically, you watch a progress bar the whole time and wait to fill it up by performing a few different actions. The same music loop plays over and over again in the background.
I feel bad giving a free game a negative review but "Chimera island" didn't really offer much entertainment. You start of with one creature, which you can assign to different missions. Over time you can collect 3 different creatures, each of them has 3 unique evolutions. You train your creatures to improve their stats and assign them to more missions. This gameplay loop is really boring and even the individual evolutions didn't interest me enough to continue playing.
Cute but short completed the game and all the objectives as far as I can tell
Honestly Kinda boring and doesn't have a lot to back it up.
Very cute little game. Would like to see it expanded some.
