About Chronicles of Vipers
Chronicles of Vipers is a remake-demake first-person shooter inspired by old 8-bit and 16-bit console games, as well as VHS-era movies.
You play as a secret CIA agent, Steven "The Viper" Rogers. Your task is to free all your colleagues from captivity in different parts of Colombia, as well as to destroy a new threat - the "Free Drug Seekers" cartel.
The game includes "old school mechanics":
- Only two types of weapons;
- Several types of enemies;
- 6 different locations inspired by VHS era movies;
- Simple plot;
- Dynamic gameplay;
- Stylized graphics for the zero era.
Help agent "Viper" in the case of liberating friends and eliminating a drug den in the territory of Colombia. For this, you have a pistol and a machine gun, as well as the ability to open any door. So - act!

"Chronicles of Vipers" is advertised as a "remake-demake" when neither is true, which tells us the developers didn't know much about video games when embarking on making this. I think knowing things about video games should be a requirement before anyone tries to make one, but given how many bad games I've reviewed, I guess opinion is divided on this one. A "remake" is when an existing game is re-build, either partially or fully, but with improved support for modern systems and ideally, better quality art assets and features. A "de-make" is one of the worst things a developer could ever do, this is the act of taking a perfectly fine game, and remaking it, only deliberately worse than the original (like using pixelcrap art when the original had real graphics). This is a terrible disservice... doing things wrong and bad, on purpose, lessens all of us. But in this case, there is no original game... it can't be a "remake" or "demake" because there's no original property that's been changed. This is just a lame retro FPS trying to look really 1990's/2000's and failing at that too. It's clunky, the graphics are sloppy/lofi and look bad... the gameplay is much worse. Yeah, I know its cheap as dirt, but it plays like dirt too. Not the worst purchase I've ever made, but also not worth my $0.77.1 found this helpful

bad, even for a free to play game
Chronicles of Vipers is fun like arcade first person shooters. I enjoyed my play through and hope to see some updates that extend playtime and replay-ability like weapon pickups, or level selection post story mode. I think this game has fun voice acting and offers a relaxed but immersive experience.
