Oh man I used to love this game. It may just be me but the new update just feels awful. It takes so long to get into a match, the controller settings barely seem to work anymore. I like that they're trying to do new things but I just want my old version back, please.

Probably fun as a local multiplayer game but I got it cause I liked the art style and thought the time mechanics would be cool. Not so. Instead it's boring poorly explained and often frustrating. The pixel art style is a nice redeeming feature and kept me playing as long as I did. I kept waiting for something cool to happen but eventually got tired of waiting.

It's a really interesting local multiplayer game! There's nothing like it out there, or at least nothing quite as refined. If you're a fan of local multiplayer or time shenanigans, get this game. Edit: From what I can tell, with the Online update, this game has become unplayable. Quick Play and Server browser are the only options left, the cursor goes diagonally no matter which way you move it, and Chrono Castle is apparently the only map left. The interface is a mess now... and quite honestly, it's laughable to assume that a small indie game would be able to support actualy servers. What happened to the quirky couch multiplayer game I could at least partially understand? I can't even figure out how to start a game now.

Game appears to be very broken as i cant get controller support to work right at the start screen. Got it so i could play with friends over steam remote play.

Tags: Combat Arena & Smashbroesque Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Interesting concepts but too clunky to start a match and the production values are too low to warrant dragging a friend to play this with you. 8 bit arena combat that repeats over multiple matches. Each match replays the former matches in shadowclone manner. Meaning that as you keep losing, you face more enemies. The concept is interesting but that just makes it harder for the lesser players to keep having fun. The menus have a lot of character and ability options and game modes but it is insanely difficult to navigate the user interface with the xboxpad and you're often left guessing what you're even doing. Having different abilities for different characters is vaguely interesting but ultimately this is a subpar offering for this genre and having to drag people to play with you really reduces the value proposition.

Won this game via a giveaway. Game looks BEAUTIFUL! Quick suggestion? You should make the intro/tutorial skippable. The part where it shows classes/etc. I started to rage when I couldn't skip it. It takes forever!! What the heck Second time I am playing it, it is stuck on the controller menu asking me to keep on hitting controls but I cant figure out how to continue, help!
