Very nice, small-scope game. Deserves more attention, as it is no-cost. A game about digging, collecting gems, upgrading, and surviving.

Cosmi-Cave 64 is a 2D retro pixel "miner" game where you dig (shoot lasers) into the ground to explore what's below, collect minerals and sell them to refuel and upgrade. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. The resolution is set extremely low here, to the point everything is a barely comprehensible, blocky mess. On purpose, possibly, but making something look bad on purpose isn't going to win any awards. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, …

A very simple cave digging game. Honestly maybe a little too simple, but it's alright for what it is

Сюжет достаточно простой и не претендует на глубину, однако его достаточно, чтобы поддерживать интерес к исследованию мира. Несмотря на некоторую однообразность дизайна уровней и простоту геймплея, Cosmi-Cave 64 все же обладает определенным шармом. Это неплохая игра для тех, кто ищет что-то короткое и ненавязчивое, чтобы скоротать время и вспомнить игры своей юности. Любителям сложных и глубоких игр, возможно, стоит поискать что-то другое. В целом, Cosmi-Cave 64 – это достойный представитель жанра ретро-платформеров, получивший от меня твердую тройку с плюсом.
