First and most importantly, this game is delightful. Is it "XCOM meets Worms" like everybody says? Yeah, basically. The pacing is good, and it's a quality experience whether you're playing solo or multiplayer (this is the only game besides Bomberman that all three of my kids like to play head-to-head). The aiming is tough but mostly fair---honestly I like it better here than I did in Phoenix Point (although I do always get rid of the mortar and the grenade ASAP). There is some real jank -- In particular, the tank boss is glitchy as all hell (although never to the point that I couldn't complete a battle). The game also would have benefited from more map variety. Overall, though, Critter Crossfire is an impressive offering from a one-man developer. My kids and I have gotten a ton of mileage out of it.1 found this helpful
this game is the kind of game that will blow up once a streamer shows it to a wider audience. it is a fun skill based x-com meets mario rabbids. don't think just buy it even amazing as a single player game. currently typing on a steamdeck touchscreen, do you know how good a game has to be to suffer this interface.
Invisible sniper spam.
I've been playing this game for years thru different beta versions. I'm so happy that it's finally out. It's always been my fav game at the dev group meetups. I have a sticker the creator gave me on my gaming suitcase. Thanks so much for recreating it and giving us all joy! God Bless! Ohh I forgot to review it... It's like Scorched Earth, a 3D Worms or Warhammer 40k Kill Team. A turnbased 3rd person/POV FPS. Run and Gun! It's a slow sniper shoot outs but once you get in close it's shotguns to the face! Buy it! You'll love killing your lil brother or spouse in a couch CO-OP. Kill them critters quick but don't get caught in the crossfire!
Good fun, the dev has done a great job. Lots of variety with weapons, perks and challenge runs. Just wish there were a few more levels available
Good fun. There are interesting combinations you can run with the power ups and the unlocks are a nice touch to keep things fresh.
