This game is absolute trash, from the completely terrible and boring story to the sum total of 3 mobs that are the entirety of the game as they just re-use the same mobs over and over throughout the game. If you're reading this save your money, don't even buy it on sale not worth even 5 bucks. Shameless cash grab by Bandai1 found this helpful
no, especially not the deluxe/+ versions. it took me 57hrs to beat on very hard not counting end mission crashes. lot's of copy paste move sets for most mobs and bosses (more toward endgame there were some really cool bosses). I tend to play games for the story and having my character feel like they matter but you're basically a paper weight no one acknowledges after the beta. The story overall is really amazing i felt the weight of certain events more so than i did in games like bg3 but i am a little sad that it felt like it didn't matter having your own custom character at all. Also a little nitpicky but allowing mobs to be knocked off ledges but not taking fall damage or teleporting back up to the ledge was a bit annoying.1 found this helpful
Any monster that's not a trash mob will just roar and prevent you from doing anything as it summons more monsters. You clear some mobs while fighting the elites/boss monsters while they roar every now and then until you beat it. This is the combat loop of the entire game and every boss encounter. It's not hard, it's just super super super boring.1 found this helpful
Some crazy maps and scenery backdrops, engaging fight mechanics, and one of the most immersive SAO titles I've seen. Death Game mode just feels tense. I've already "died" and had my save deleted more than once, but I just keep going back for more.1 found this helpful
I've played other SAO games of course and this one by far is my favorite, the only SAO game i've played to completion would be Fatal Bullet and playing this game brings nostalgia from playing FB plus more. while I'm not crazy about the dialogue options (literally just nodding your head yes or no) the gameplay from this game is so much closer to the show than any of the other games in terms of looks, loot, and fighting, I absolutely love it. But if you'd rather not spend money on this, you could totally play Integral Factor and still be immersed in the SAO game (just not with as great graphics as this game). This game completely won me over in looks though.
Just needs multiplayer and more content including enemies. Great game play first playthrough death game very hardmode.
