It's definitely difficult and intentionally designed only for hardcore players. The visuals and music are actually great. But aside from the lack of checkpoints, there is no option to remap the buttons. This means you're stuck with WASD for four different actions. It’s not my cup of tea, but it doesn't feel like one of those 'rage-bait' games. P.S. Steam doesn't give a 'neutral' option, so I went with "not recommended."2 found this helpful
The game itself isn't anything horrible, it is a bit clunky and all, but the main problem are the controls, not really comfortable and sometimes not responding2 found this helpful

Nice game setting and idea killed by bad control and stupid one button reaction of gamechar. You can do only one action - run, jump or beat. You can't run and beat, or jump and beat. You can't block enemy's attack. Control has great input lag. So when you beat enemy, you can't jump or run from him and get damage after every attack. So only way to win is hit enemy from his back - it's not barbarian style.
I did not find this game enjoyable enough to justify playing it from the beginning upon every death.
