Players agree this low-budget Slavic survival horror shooter has interesting atmosphere and decent Unreal Engine graphics, but is hampered by numerous technical issues including game-breaking bugs, poor optimization, stuttering, clipping through environments, and monotone voice acting with incomplete translations. The repetitive underground level design, weak narrative that ends on a cliffhanger, and cheap gameplay mechanics make it a difficult experience that most recommend avoiding unless heavily discounted or free, as the novelty of its rough charm wears off quickly.
It's a cool Slavjank shooter that pays homage to more well built survival horror, you are best to get this on sale, sometimes dying is the only solution to fix broken events in the levels .2 found this helpful
Death Below was an awesome experience from start to finish. If your a fan of the classic Resident Evil games , you'll definitely love this. The game has that same tense, creepy atmosphere where your constantly on edge, solving puzzle's, and trying to survive 8/10.1 found this helpful
I tried to finish this game but just couldn't. At first it was so bad it was fun, and then after an hour I was bored and it was just bad. Same underground environments, weak story, annoying enemies, the worst voice over and dialog I have ever seen in a game. I watched the end on youtube and the game just kind of ends with a "to be continued". I would just recommend to stay away from this one. Many other games worth your $10 out there.
i often give low budget games a chance. sometimes they pay off and sometimes you get this game. I knew what I was in for with the voice acting monotone and the script oh boy! I got to the part where there was a big fat zombie and you run away to jump in a manhole cover, proceeded to follow a ramp and fall out of the game into blackness while i watched the building from above. reloaded, found out i'd have to complete most of the level and it wasn't worth the 5 minutes to get back to my spot so deleted the game. I'd refund but of course I didn't play this in time. it's okay I enjoy charity work from time to time.
I get that it was probably a small developer that put this game together. But I just can't recommend it. Wonky camera, horrible translation, visual bugs galore, stuttering bugs as the game tries to switch scenes. Some good things: the light effects from Unreal engine looked awesome, and a couple of times the zombies running across a door where generally unsettling. The voice acting was brutally bad. In some scenes the translation was not completed and some of the subtitles were in Cyrillic. There is some unsynching between sound and visual effects. I hope that their next game gets a bit more time and money spent on it. Don't spend more than $5 on this.
Not a good game, constant cuts that take place and hardly much gameplay. But when you do get into gameplay, its cheap and wonky, would rather just stick to Pac-Man than this. The character models are decent and so is the rendering (sorta), but even with a good graphics card, this game is somehow very powerful on my computer for who knows what reason when the maps look decently small. Might be out of everything loading as soon as you get into the game which has a massive impact.
