About Delator

Delator is a cosmic horror puzzle-platformer inspired by the world of H.P. Lovecraft and by The Tell-Tale Heart of Edgar Allan Poe, where we play the role of a skittish doctor chosen by the cult of Delator to be the last sacrifice.
Instead of running away, you must find the heart of Delator and end your nightmares before they end up consuming you.

Explore and unravel the secrets of this town through puzzles and don't let the enemies get to you with the help of your lamp.
*Hide from the gaze of Delator
Hide from the cosmic entity making use of stealth to keep moving forward with your sanity intact.
*Hallucinations
Enter a different plane of reality to engage in intricate puzzles and where everything is how it used to be.

Interesting Lovecraftian style game. Beautiful artwork with minimal gameplay effort. Run, Jump and Shine. No issues running the game or FPS issues on my end but running with a 4090. Some future optimization would be nice and grapics options as well.

"Delator" is a fairly routine puzzle/action platformer where once more the corpse of HP Lovecraft has been exhumed and his (public domain) intellectual property abused by yet another uncreative developer. What's to like? Well, at least the developer worked out how to do 3D graphics here, it's not pixelcrap. What do you do in the game? It's a simple platformer. The game's story involves a doctor who is the last sacrifice of a cult, tasked with facing their deepest nightmares and unraveling the secrets of a town while avoiding a cosmic entity. There's a blend of stealth mechanics and enemy avoidance along with the usual tired, dead platformer stuff. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. The lack of graphics settings and shoddy optimisation are highly problematic, so if you like a cutting edge PC gaming experience, you won't get it here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "…

I was so genuinely impressed by the backgrounds, lights, level transitions, camera pans, artwork and pace of this game that I was able to generously overlook the choppy framerate, unresponsive flash mechanic and unintuitive enemy encounters, but then the first puzzle happened, a box became invisible and I had no idea what the game wanted me to do. :( Still outstanding for its visuals.

The style is really beautiful. The controls may not be perfect, but they're not bad. There are some puzzle elements to the game. It's not always clear what's going on, which is why it may take a few deaths before you figure out the puzzles, but dying doesn't set you back far, so it's not tedious. The story is also very unclear from the game. If I hadn't read the description beforehand, I'd have no idea what was going on. Hell, even after reading the description, I still wasn't sure what was going on. Still, it looks good, and it's an interesting little game.
