"Hellkind" is a FREE and very SHORT atmospheric indie horror. Made by Spanish indie developer, this little project is very excels at delivering a haunting vibe. While the slow crawl movement can get annoying, the shortness of the game makes up for it. It is quite linear and should be completed with no issue. What the game does right is keep you on edge with the great sound design and the unique art style that greatly adds to the immersion. I can't put a finger on this style, it is very "Return of the Obra Dinn" and "Who's Lila?" Devs have proven they have a nice grasp on horror, awaiting their next full titles. Interesting little game with a very strong ambiance and an amazing visual style. It's really well done. Though, the gameplay isn't super interesting, and it's all really dampened by the incredibly slow walking speed. Like really, you're so slow in this game and the things to check for the puzzles can be so far apart. Really discourages exploration and trying stuff imo.1 found this helpful

AAA level visuals, amazing atmosphere, really nice short story.
"Short" they said, took about 5 hours just to find out how to get out of the cell, then because of course I was sick of this game I closed it, just to find out that it doesn't save the progress you make, took roughly 7 more hours total to finish the game, I'm not the only slow person though, the character walks at a snails pace, my final 2 hours of gameplay were spent trying to 100% complete the game which I managed with many troubles, overall solid game 9/10
