About Darkness Ritual: Impasse

✦ AI summary

Navigate a mysterious seven-chapter ritual where you're trapped in a psychedelic horror world and must escape by forging a path that doesn't exist. This rare blend of horror and platforming challenges both your reflexes and perception as you uncover the secrets of an otherworldly ceremony.

Secrets, mysteries and related rituals and ceremonies. You will now experience this fate. This is not the time to pay the price for witnessing a mysterious ritual, because it is time to experience what has not been experienced.

In this story consisting of seven chapters, you witness a ritual moment and find yourself in this mysterious world while trying to escape. The only way out of here is to follow a path that doesn't exist. You will challenge your skills and psychedelic impulses in this game, where we try to reflect the Horror-Platform elements in the best way, which is one of the rare examples of its kind.

I hate doing bad review, but i must say it. The intro of the game is the best part. I dont understand why the neon pink, it doesnt fit with the ambiance. Why we have 8 item spaces but there is only 3 items. Why so many ammo when the only thing to fire is target. It feels more like a space jumping puzzle than an horror game. I dont understand at all, there is no end, its like its not finished. It says Chapter 5 completed and there is nothing after. No more chapter. I'm really disapointed. :( Maybe if it was free or under 5$ i'd say yes, but at this price with all i saw its no im sorry :(

off the bat I was glad it features voice over work. Not too bad initially. Was runinin' simulator at first till we got a weapon. Then I managed to get stuck but hit the "try again" option as a result. This started the whole game over..oop. Still I'm intrigued to see what happens goin' forward. Darkness Ritual: Impasse is a psychological horror experience that thrives on confusion, dread, and surreal atmosphere rather than relying on nonstop scares or traditional survival horror mechanics. Developed and published by AProX, the game places players inside a nightmare-like world born from occult rituals and distorted reality, creating an experience that constantly feels unstable and unpredictable. From the beginning, the game avoids giving players a clear understanding of what is happening, instead throwing them into strange environments filled with cryptic symbolism, supernatural imagery, and unsettling visual distortions. This deliberate uncertainty becomes one of the game’s defining strengths because the horror comes less from immediate danger and more from the growing feeling that reality itself has become corrupted. The gameplay focuses on exploration, environmental puzzle-solving, and platforming through dark and surreal locations connected by fragmented logic. Players move through underground ruins, abandoned chambers, distorted hallways, and strange dreamlike spaces while slowly uncovering clues about the ritual that trapped them inside this nightmare. The game rare…

Very cool game with a trippy vibe. The game makes you want to finish it, as its not too hard but just enough to challenge you a bit and have fun doing it. Has a bit of jump scares, a lot of puzzle solving mixed with maze like game play. Highly suggest to anyone who enjoys these kind of game all within an indie style game.
