Devilated

You know when someone serves you a meal, it starts out good, but halfway through, you notice that it's kind of bland, but you don't want to be rude, and there are some parts about it that you like, so you finish it and say it was good, even though it's more leaning towards an overall mediocre experience? This game is not quite like that. Even the demo had me feeling like I was signing up for a very plain experience, and if it wasn't for Steam achievements, I wouldn't have completed the whole game, even if it was free.

Its Like If The BloodHound Gang Was Bloodier. The game is super fun and it was made by a ONE super nice person which is extreamly impressive for such a high quality game. 10/10 probably my favorite game and you need to download it and give it a good review or else i will tickle you on your no no parts

"Devilated" has quickly become one of my examples of game design not being a science, but an example of art and witchcraft. In theory a lot of things in the game shouldn't work together and yet they do, but it's both a strength and a weakness. It can frequently be too much and overstimulating (I needed breaks from all the action, gore, blood, and guts), it's absolutely unhinged, part challenging spectacle shooter and part power fantasy, really fun in short bursts, has a bizarre sense of humor and just of place and being. But it can also be a bit too samey, the environments can bleed together, there is inventory management that feels oddly out of place, severe ammo shortages at times, enemies popping into existence, monster closets like you wouldn't believe, and etc. But all of this gives "Devilated" a unique and refreshing feel that I can say I've never experienced elsewhere. "Devilated" is the most bizarre, sometimes frustrating, sometimes fatiguing experience I've had. Yet, after all was said and done, I liked it a ton and would really love to see what else Trunka can come up with. OK game I guess but there are just so many countless better boomer/arena shooters out there, Turbo Overkill, Ultrakill, DUSK, DOOM, etc. Played for an hour and why are most of the guns shotguns? Pistols, SMGS, etc, are all shooting multiple pellets at the same time, just the basic weakest versions are shooting a single bullet at a time, all the higher tier guns are all multishot pellet shotguns. Graphics & UI seem a bit cheap and underdeveloped, not saying it is from an asset store, but the quality/vibes seems comparable to asset store quality/vibes.
