✦ AI summary

Players are deeply divided on this bare-bones retro-style shooter. While some appreciate the satisfying gunplay, solid performance, and nostalgic simplicity reminiscent of classic FPS games like Serious Sam, others criticize the atrocious level design, uninspired visuals, poor AI, terrible audio mixing, and overall lack of polish and art direction. The game appears to appeal specifically to players seeking stripped-down, challenging old-school FPS action, but frustrates those expecting modern production values.

This is the most bare bones uninspired bottom of the bargain bin games I've seen in recent times. Positives: - Guns feel actually good and look alright - It runs very well Negatives: - Atrocious level design - Horrible uninspired textures - Horrible skyboxes - Horrible uninspired looking enemies - Horrible gore and blood effects - Terrible AI (they basically either stand somewhere or shoot) - Waves upon waves of enemies running towards you in line, it looks ridiculous - No reload animation - No hands - UI is bare bones - Audio mixing is terrible, everything is so low and sound like mono audio - Music is just stock metal - Basically art design is non existant This is like Slaughtering Grounds all over again. Paid 3 bucks and it's still a waste of time.

45 fps to draw 12 cubes. Unreal engine moment. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3554726195 edit: developer got so upset so he banned my screenshot.

BLOODKILL and BLOODKILL: GOREBLAST OVERKILL are like that 3d maze game for Windows 95 you played in Excel or something and your computer got struck by lightning and it becomes an ultra immersive ultra simplistic 3d maze shooter with HEAVY serious sam elements It's like AssaultCube, Serious Sam, and Catacomb 3D walked into a bar and took turns passing a joint and this was their spirit voyage into the stone cold "Windows 95 Demo Software" vibes. I get reminded of Dead Hunt and some kind of Java Flip Phone FPS game. You could tell me this was a sequel to a hit on the nokia n gage, and I'd believe you. Pure simplicity in John Romero-Style Maze Design and immersive graphics. These games are the SlowRoads of FPS. A game to play when you're reaching your zen. Bonus Points for the BFG being an Elephant Gun, although it'd be more accurate to call it a Kinetic Bombardment via Shoulder Mounted Artillery. The music is amazing, too. I want to buy the soundtracks.

Bloodkill is a rough diamond - it's simple and stripped back both in visuals and gameplay, but everything just works and it's really fun to play. the final couple of boss fights are a tough challenge on hard mode - "Ancient Beast" in particular I almost gave up on, but I just scraped through after many tries. It's a great game to challenge FPS veterans and it has a similar feel to the earlier Serious Sam games.
