Devil Daggers

My record so far is 199 seconds. I can only imagine how much more chaos there is closer to the fabled 500. I can't wait.

I know my playtime is short, but I've played at least 50 hours of this game, most of which was... "not on steam". This is, by far, one of the most well-designed games I have and most likely will ever see. And I'm a game dev. This is the kind of design that people spend years perfecting, and it's all contained in a "simple" little shooter. Without spoiling anything, your only goals in Devil Daggers are to live, and to kill. That said, the tech alone could fill up tens of thousands of words. You move fast. You can shoot, either a shotgun blast or a stream, and you collect gems. The first ten seconds are easy. The next twenty are similarly so. A minute in takes a few hours of work. Two minutes in takes around ten, give or take. Three minutes in takes fifteen. By five minutes, you have most likely spent twenty to thirty hours just running the same loop, over and over again. And the only achivement is for a little more than eight minutes. Just eight minutes. How hard could it be?

Skull 2 is the most evil thing that has ever existed.
