DISORDER - Save Your Family

This puts a dark twist on word games like hangman and scramble. You have to play and get it right to save each family member, plus yourself. Often, there's a little riddle like clue that helps you figure out words. Sometimes, there seems to be a timer and the pressure really gets put on you. There's achievements for saving everyone, saving everyone plus yourself, saving no one, etc. So it's worth playing again and again to just grab the achievements. The game definitely has a mature theme behind it, as family members can die in gruesome ways if you fail them. So, play well and enjoy....if you can. ;)

OMG WHAT DID I JUST PLAY??? It's a word game...but with severe consequences for wrong answers. Give it ago...save your family.......if you can.

Just got an S Tier and I can say this game was overall a fun and tense experience. I play Wordle all the time on New York Times and I like word games. It was frustrating at first, so I took a break and then was able to save all the family members. I will admit though I did look at some walkthroughs before coming back and I had to look up one of the words for one of the minigames (as it was a word I don't think I heard of before). But the goods definitely outweigh the bad. Status: Recommend, but not for anyone triggered by disturbing imagery. There's a lot of it in this game.

This game reminds me of this kid from high school who kept trying to show me car crash videos and was laughing at them.

This game is so, so close to being great, but the small mistakes add up to a frustrating final product. Some achievements trigger before they're unlocked, there are spelling/punctuation mistakes, there's no way to skip dialogue after your first playthrough, guessed letters don't always show on the screen, and one of the three round types just doesn't work. The titular "Disorder" round, a Boggle-style minigame where you make words from a bank of letters, uses incomplete word lists. For example, "SING", "LAUD", "VOLE", and "ILK" aren't accepted words. (This can be solved by using an existing dictionary, like dwyl's list on GitHub.) Since this round type happens once per act, this makes getting the flawless run a pain in the ass, as if having to memorize every clue wasn't hard enough. The good news is that all of these things are VERY, VERY fixable. Now, whether the developer will put in the time is an entirely different question. Since the last update was the beginning of last year, I won't be holding my breath. (If the dev is reading this, though, I will gladly do the work myself if given the chance. I'd love to dive into the code.) Overall, a simple, flawed, but salvageable game.…
