In this game, you're not a human hero anymore. Instead, you can freely assemble a mixed army of fighters, mages, beasts, demons, and more to destroy human castles and become the true "Demon King."
Hundreds of Units and Dozens of Playstyles to Mix and Match
The game currently features nearly 150 units, with gameplay inspired by inventory management and card synergies. For example, meat can boost a beast's attack power, and pairing hunters with beasts can provide a higher attack bonus.
You can also use imps summoned by warlocks to nourish the great demons, or have engineers build powerful crossbows. Almost every unit has a corresponding synergy, and there are dozens of playstyles waiting to be explored. Try different strategies to clear the game—you might find some unexpected surprises!

The game's hundreds of units feature various mysterious synergies and chemical reactions, regardless of type or rarity. It is so rare that I pursue a game for 100% achievements, but 'getting' Dog and Goblin has been so satisfying I am pretty proud of myself. Loved it - am sort of sad that I am done. If there is any DLC I will dive back in1 found this helpful

Survive waves of enemies, build your gamble-style deck, and take on the enemy’s castle. Destroy it, move on to a stronger version, repeat until the difficulty scales beyond what you can handle, and eventually fail. There isn’t anything else to the game.
It's bretty gud. The learning phase is quite fun, trying to figure out the different recipes and piecing together interesting combos. After you've got all the recipes there's still some interesting strategising to do, but if you're like me your interest will wane pretty quickly past that point. I think I only noticed one bug, not game-breaking but really weird. Probably buy on sale.
