Doodle Streets: London 1950's

Absolutely love this game! Gorgeous art with many different maps. So many details and things that you can manipulate. Can't wait for their next game!

This game was a lot of fun. The artwork is very well done. I loved how I could click to open curtains, windows, doors, garbage cans, vehicle doors, etc. I could also click to "turn off" fireplaces and ovens. I was also able to click on birds to make them fly away, balloons to either fly away or pop, umbrellas to open or close, baby carriages to raise or lower at the head, trees and bushes to find objects inside them and cars to move them. All of this and more gave it a 3D feel. Some of the tasks were tedious and almost maddening to find. I felt relief when I finally found them. Overall, I was sad when the game was over. I loved that it wasn't timed. I played at a leisurely pace so it took me 12+ hours (not all at once!) to complete the game, find everything and get all of the achievements. It does have a "Hidden Folks" feel to it but that's not a bad thing. This game stands on it's own. It's equally good, if not better. I have both games and enjoy both. If you've played HF and liked it, I recommend this game. I hope there's a sequel or at least DLC soon! Thanks for a great game! :-)

Doodle Streets is a hidden object game in 2.5D with multicoloured cartoon-style images, which are also partially animated, reflecting London in the 1950s. On each of 14 main levels, a list of characters and objects to be found is displayed; clicking on these also gives a textual clue to help to locate them in the large and detailed scene. Levels are also grouped and there are a further three items to find in each group. For each level there is a minimum number of items which must be found before the player can start the next level - I did this whenever I was stuck on the few last items in a level, coming back later to try to complete the previous one. The complexity in the game, and also the sense of awe for what the developer has created, comes from a number of different features: the great amount of detail in the scene for each level; the often small size of characters and objects (there is a good and absolutely essential zoom facility); the animation of many parts of each scene e.g. smoke billowing from chimneys, moving characters (and animals & vehicles), fires burning in grates and on stoves, etc; some characters and objects are inside buildings (doors and curtains/blinds can…

This is a fun relaxing humorous game, full of clever surprises and unlike other hidden object games! Highly reccomend, give it some time and see how rewarding and challenging it is! I hope the maker continues, it's been a great experience.
