I think the visuals of the game are pretty good. However that doesn't change that this is a very repetitive button masher where you will fight the same enemies over and over again. The bosses mostly distinguish themselves by simply having A LOT of HP. Which makes the fights against them very tedious. For a game where you are encouraged to get your combo up by hitting the same type of enemies continously, I found it surprising the count doesn't go higher than 999 combo hits. It just stops there. Yes, you will be hitting enemies that many times and more during a battle. And no, it's not as fun as that might sound.7 found this helpful

Short and fun game, get it on a discount. Combat is decent, but spammy. Game will literally feed you waves of 5-frame animated trash so you can build up meter for the more challenging enemies. Which leads to enemy variety being a bit lacking for a combat-heavy game, and later missions repeat bosses and palette swap in tougher enemies with more 'armor' (break meters). There's also 3d platforming which I was mixed on but it's forgiving on failure. Do make sure you're using the engine hack for Unreal engine 4 to set fps higher than 60, made a huge difference (though it might have hurt combat feel for the just dodge skill). Overall, a recommended one on sale. Hope Dusk Diver 2 does better.
x-- 7/10 --x Loved the character design and battle mechanics. Wasn't too fond of the story.
As an avid Musou game player, this was pretty neat. It does a good job at carving its own identity and is not just "another" musou game. It also tries to tell its own unique story with visuals that kind of remind me of Tokyo Mirage Sessions. The combat move set, however, is very barebones which unfortunately causes the game to get very monotonous very early. Some of the boss battles also take way too long to get through as they have up to 6 or 7 health bars, making them very tanky for no real reason. I imagine this was a very small team with a very small budget however, so I can comfortably say that they did a good job! Not worth it at full price in my opinion but if it's on sale, I'd say to give it a chance!
A nice little Musou/Warriors type of game by a small team out of Taiwan. Love the 2D artwork both within the story and in the gallery, not very tough to complete and doesn't really overstay it's welcome in doing so. Music is a good time and the various cutscenes are entertaining. There are some translation hiccups in the text that is a bit noticeable, and I would've appreciated an option to have the mandarin dub in the options menu (based on the primary location setting for this game). If you were to pick this up I would recommend doing so on sale, full price is a little too much but $20-25 ain't bad
