Definitely needs a rework. Earth Forge is a very minimalistic "digging game" where you go through a map to collect ore to get upgrades to get ore faster. And it carries 4 major problems with it. 1. Is the same problem why games dont load all chunks of it at the same time. It lags very fast and as it is only one map and apparently loads it all (or progressively loads more) at once. 2. Progress is slow and seemingly pointless. While in a game like Minecraft you gather ressources for progress in the game or fulfilling own goals, the goals of gathering ressources to gather more ressources here comes closer to a clicking game. a very slow clicking game (with less clicking but holding a button) with plenty of lags. Which wouldnt be a problem if progress isnt so slowed down by progress being determinde by luck and upgrades that are too expensive for the time you need to get to them. 3. Explaination is nonexistent. Theoretically "holding a button to move" is all the controlmanuel you need, but also things like "abilities" and what they do would need an explaination, as well as the "cave minigame" you will get after about an hour of "playing". 4. Feels like it could be fun but there's no explanation, no story, no instructions on what to do or how to upgrade or anything else. It doesn't look like it fits my screen, and it feels unfinished. But it has potential to be some fun if they were to flesh out some points.
