Story

Elgvis and his girlfriend are planning a sweet motorcycle road trip — all the way to the Swedish border to buy cheap candy.
But first, Elgvis needs to meet her at her house so they can start the journey together.There’s just one problem:The evil king, Sir Growls Alot, has blocked every world with giant paywalls, trapping the path between Elgvis and the love of his life.Now Elgvis must travel through a series of wacky worlds, collect Golden Antlers, and tear down the paywalls one by one — all to reunite with his girlfriend and finally get that cheap Swedish candy.

A collectathon / Retro 3D platformer that harkens back to Mario 64 or PS1 Spyro, but so unpolished as to not really be playable. I’d love to be more positive than that because making a full 3D game is an insane amount of work and I’m sure plenty of time was put into this. But the current package just has too many flaws. It’s not all negative. I actually like the level design pretty well, with multiple paths through bite-sized levels and little mildly hidden bits. And there’s even some surprising and clever bits such as a level that takes place in a soup oven. Of course it goes without saying that the actual visual presentation is extremely simplistic, but that’s not really out of place given the retro leanings of the game. I would have enjoyed seeing the rest of the levels. There are two huge flaws though. The first is that the player physics is not very good. In a 3D platformer you can’t really cheap out on this. The player feels very floaty, making precision jumping hard. And although the game supports double jump, strangely some of the time you don’t get the second jump.…
