About Enamored Risks
Alex is a college student studying nursing and recently freed from her unbearable helicopter parents. Far from home and trying to get through classes as quickly as possible, she’s grown burnt out and quite lonely. However, she hears about a mysterious social media account filled with images of ruined buildings, rooftop views, and rooms trapped in time, framed by a challenge:
“Feeling adventurous? Come find us.”
Her curiosity piqued, a spark of rebellious energy stirs within her. She sets out to find the origins of the photos and finds three urban explorers, each of them unearthing something new and unfamiliar in her heart.

This one's more of a "maybe" than an enthusiastic recommend. There are a lot of problems with this one, not necessarily tied to it having been a gamejam game. Imho, Paxton's route was pretty bland, and it continually referenced an event that never happened in the game —he keeps apologizing for accidentally giving Alex whipped cream (she's lactose intolerant) which we never see happen. Apart from that, it wasn't too bad. Finn, though. As much as I hate to dislike a goth love interest, Finn kinda sucks. From the first kiss (written in a horribly cringy way, I might add), where he gives Alex a nonconsensual kiss when she's already scared about being on some very precarious footing in order to make her feel... safer?? To his continual blatant disregard of her comfort, and the comfort of the rest of his friends, in his doing dangerous ♥♥♥♥. Which, to be fair, does end up getting addressed. But the fact that doesn't happen until the guy nearly gets himself killed is a problem. The main problem with Finn is that his route dives into some deeply dark content. Which is not a problem in and of itself, but I would have appreciated a warning on the game's page for discussion of depressio…1 found this helpful
Enamored Risks is a story about a college student whose life revolves around studying to become successful. She's also an emotional wreck, which is quite relatable. Art I like the art style, but I wouldn't say that I love it. There's not much variation between the backgrounds, not even a colour difference. It seems like a failed opportunity, but oh well! They are nice to look at, I'll give it that. Characters As for the characters, there were more misses than hits. I only went for one route because I wasn't interested in the other characters. They made the main character feel uneasy, so I thought they wouldn't be a good fit for her. Speaking of which, Alex grew on me over time. I thought that she was a little too judgemental for my taste, but found out there were some redeeming qualities to her character. She's also anxious, which I can relate to. Finn is a disaster waiting to happen. I thought his relationship with Alex to be odd, especially when you have that first interaction with them. She knows him well enough to know
his sleeping habits, but not what his hobbies are?
That's more than a little strange. Unless they've not known each ot…1 found this helpful
I liked the premise of this one, but to me there weren't enough dialogue options. There were several points during which a character asked Alex a question, which would have been a good place to allow a choice at least for flavor, but up until the first night Alex explores with the group, there were absolutely zero choices to be made. Even with the text speed turned up, getting through the first part was a slog, and even once we met up with the rest of the group there were too few choices to keep me interested. I don't know, maybe I'm missing the point of what a visual novel is supposed to be, but considering this was a video game instead of a graphic novel or a fic over on AO3, I expected a little more interactivity.1 found this helpful
its pretty good...
quick, easy, fun game to play !
ehehe this is a light VN with a casual plot, well there aren't really much going on tbh but I still like all the 3 romance options possible. I just kinda wish there are more interesting stuff in the story itself, but I understand since this was made for a game jam. the cg's are done well imo QwQ, and I do love the variations between each route which make each of the love interest varies from one another :3 it's still an enjoyable story to spend your time into, and I found the interaction between the protagonist and the characters really sweet and cute. It's the sugary type of romance that's suitable for anyone out there<3
