These guys really need to let you know you can NOT play without a controller, there are some parts where you have to press B on the controller and there is no alternative button assigned to it, I actually refunded the game the first time I bought it because of that (yes, I am the reason for the 'play the demo' warning :) but I gave it another go when I got a controller and I am damn glad I did. This game really feels like a B-version of Resident Evil in a The Thing environment and everything adds to that, the slightly clunky controls, the enemies, the ridiculous insistence of the level designers on long 'spooky' corridoors but mostly, the cheesy 'A.I.' companion and his ridiculous lines, right down to the insistence that he interacts with you and calls you stupid and makes you go on the internet to solve puzzles that you're just gonna go on the internet and look up anyway. This game is honestly is good as a first indie game. It has plenty of challenge and silliness you would expect of a passion project. The game does use an assistant like AI that can help the player through difficult sections. The character's voice is very much AI but not too annoying. Most parts of the game is less hand holding then I expected especially the chase areas being rough but doable with some trial and error after learning where to go being easy to miss. One of my biggest complaints was getting stuck on random doorways near the ending portion of the game or during the beginning of the chase part hitting invisible geometry that stopped me dead in my tracks fives resulting in multiple deaths. Give it a shot if you feel it's worth your time and money. hopefully the creator only gets better as they make more dlc or games under their belts.3 found this helpful
