About Evoids
In 1987 Dan Hewitt created the greatest game of the 16 bit 68000 generation, Oids.
This Is my hommage to that game.
Fight against gravity, attractors and repulsors in this 16 bit inspired side scrolling, arcade, cave flyer/shooter.
Fly and shoot through a series of levels made up of cavernous terrain littered with attractors, repulsors, guided misslies, defence turrets, shield systems, teleporters, laser triggered missiles and other deadly obstacles.
Includes Steam Workshop support and integrated level editor.

Excellent little pick up and play game. A spiritual successor to the Atari ST game Oids - for those not in the know think of Thrust (C64) or Solar Jetman (NES) – with a small spaceship fighting against gravity through dense cave systems. Starts a little slow, but devious level design and solid mechanics make this probably the definitive title in the genre at the moment. Online leaderboards and an easy to use and fast to iterate on level editor (with Steam Workshop support) are the icing on the cake. Only criticisms are some of the levels are a bit too hard for their billing (I found some of the medium difficulty levels harder than many of the insane ones) and not having a time trial mode is a missed opportunity.4 found this helpful
Oids on the Atari ST is one of my favourite games ever and i spent so much time playing and making my own levels in it back in the day. After playing Evoids for a little while i can already tell its a very good modern version of Oids and i had a lot of fun.4 found this helpful
This is an awesome reimagining of the classic ST game Oids. It's fun, fast, and easy to get into. Brilliant work!3 found this helpful
Cracking update of a genre that doesn't get enough love. If you liked Oids, Grav, Thrust, etc, then this will be just your bag.2 found this helpful
It's definitely Oids and love the level editor.2 found this helpful
