Through both vertical and horizontal levels, the game offers a very nice environment with a good use of depth (love the design of the asteroids ♥), This is the right game if you like to be challenged, it is hard and I don't have the skill set yet! :)2 found this helpful
A very interesting take on a Shmup! Fiery Rivaz contains very unique puzzle elements that I've never seen a Shmup do before. Each of the 3 available weapons has a specific role to play that come with their own advantages and disadvantages, which means the player will need to use all the tools in their arsenal if they want to make progress. The camera also changes depending on the level (some vertical, some horizontal) which helps keep the game fresh alongside the various different kinds of puzzles. However, the player ship could benefit from a smaller hitbox, as it does seem very unforgiving and some deaths felt cheap/unfair as a result. Player weapons also don't make any sound. While not necessary, having sound for the weapons would add a lot to the feel of the game. Overall, Fiery Rivaz is a unique Shmup with a lot of potential that I would love to see expanded upon. The execution might not be perfect, but all of my issues could easily be fixed in a patch or future title.1 found this helpful
