Figment 2: Creed Valley

A couple of months ago, I encountered a critical bug and filed a bug report. But no patches have been released since 2025, the game seems to be abandoned. I didn't get to play it for even an hour and I don't feel like giving it another try anytime soon

This sequel somehow ups the ante on the villain musical numbers, which I did not think was possible after the Plague incident, and yet here we are, once again dodging boss attacks while an antagonist absolutely commits to a full length Broadway number about the crushing weight of criticism and self loathing. Incredible art direction. Deeply personal attack on my psyche. And in typical Figment fashion, they hit us with an absolute banger, song of discarded opinions, which I would like to formally announce I expeditiously forwarded to my buddy who married the woman who baby trapped him, who was starting to put pressure on him for a second child, purely as a public service. He did not ask for this. He needed it anyway. Turns out marriage does not, in fact, fix all your problems, who could have possibly guessed, certainly not him, certainly not after several years of finding out the hard way. I think this sequel is more fun to play than the first game, but the first game had a better story I think. The story of this one isn't bad, but it feels like there is less at stake. Still a good time. I would play a third Figment game if they make it. It should probably be a Trilogy.

Figment 2: Creed Valley feels like a vast improvement over the first game. The combat feels more responsive, graphically it's looks way better without compromising any of its charm and just like in the previous game, soundtrack goes really hard. Only negative aspect of the game is that overall it felt shorter than the first one, and the puzzles felt somewhat simple to me. Despite its minor flaws, it's still a charming and fun game I'd gladly recommend. Not sure if at full price, as it can be expensive for a 4-5 hour long experience, but definitely worth getting during a sale.

This was one of those games I tried out but just kept playing. The story flows very well and the art direction, puzzles, voice acting and songs keep you playing. I really enjoyed this game.
