Figment

Figment blends light action, environmental puzzles, and imaginative storytelling into a charming adventure. Exploring its colorful world is enjoyable, with clever level design and creative boss encounters that keep the gameplay varied. While it's not particularly difficult, its unique atmosphere and polished presentation make it a memorable experience.

A delightful puzzle adventure game. Figment has a very concise plot, you play as Dusty and the nightmares stole your memories. You are joined by your companion Piper to defeat them in three very well crafted stages. The game looks like Bastion, nice isometric art with great visuals and animation. Everything looks amazing. The game heavily focuses on puzzles, expect pushing blocks to form paths, guiding a vehicle through varios rail tracks and lots of power cells that need to be found and place in the correct spots. For the most part, the difficulty varies between easy to medium. There's also the optional task of finding your lost memories, fun but not that hard either. The whole experience lasts about 5 or 6 hours. There's also a very limited combat system. You swing your sword and have access to a more powerful chargeable whirlwind attack. That's it, apart from dodging there's no skills, extra attacks, equipment, etc. It's very basic, with HP regeneration items being almost everywhere and very generous checkpoints in case you lose against the few enemies that populate this world. Figment is a wonderfully odd game, which seems more like walking into a beautifully composed piece of living art than playing. The journey taken here to examine emotion through the lenses of a fragmented mind is unique and beautiful while the visuals, constructed by a more chill backdrop allowing your own thoughts to drift between songs, and accompanied by fun earworm tracks that sound at home in the worlds’ slightly unhinged reality makes this something special to visit for while. There are unfortunately, the occasional technical slip-up, with the’ Bug Squasher’ Achievement being entirely broken requiring players either work around it using an alternate spawn point, or have to retrace several steps to make sure it unlocks for you. Aside from the annoyance of getting the buggy achievement to pop, Figment makes for a solid, and colourful chill adventure.

when you get to the four pipe puzzle, the game bcomes impossible so i might quit ngl.

This game has everything I like: colorful graphics in an Alice in Wonderland kind of way, mechanical puzzles to solve and a linear pathway (I hate open world games). You have to use intuition and logic to find and collect gears, valves, batteries, etc. at each level in order to move on up and it was a hoot doing so, accompanied by witty dialogue and a pretty good story line.
