About Finding the Soul Orb

The high wizards created the Soul Orb and it served the kingdom well. Now it is time for Alexander to find it where it hides. It calls to Alexander in his dreams.

Finding the Soul Orb is a medieval fantasy game. In it, you use your crossbow both as a weapon against werewolves as well as a tool to solve puzzles. It is a story-driven game of twelve chapters.

  • Highly immersive 12 levels that save the game progress at their beginnings
  • Some angry werewolves gradually get mightier and more numerous as you progress
  • A captivating storyline that reveals itself via pedestals
  • Atmospheric sound designed to carry you through the highs and lows of their journey
  • Charming music that accompanies the atmosphere
  • Approachable gameplay; the difficulty settings are "Easy", "Very Easy" and "Extremely Easy", and can be changed instantly while playing
  • Some additional creatures to be found (and shot) through careful world exploration

PS: The core aspect of this game is the atmosphere. It is recommended for those who mostly seek to experience the mood.

Good visuals, but I find it repetitive and boring. The player runs so slow. Combat feels good but repetitive.

Finding the Soul Orb, developed and published by Tonguç Bodur, is a short first-person adventure that blends light exploration, minimal combat, and environmental storytelling into a linear fantasy journey. The narrative unfolds gradually as you move through each area, typically delivered through triggered text sequences rather than direct interaction or dialogue. This approach creates a quiet, almost detached storytelling style, where the world reveals itself piece by piece rather than through active engagement. While this can add a sense of mystery, it also makes the narrative feel distant, as players a…

Short journey through beautiful landscapes with simple puzzles and cute but awkward combat. There are engaging story items (notes) that you encounter throughout the game, giving the journey a little context. Though the purpose of your wanderings isn't entirely clear. Low replay value maybe, but a nice way to spend 2 hours.

Quite a relaxing game with a little text story around fighting werewolves and some collectibles spattered throughout.
