What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise this climbing game for its beautiful graphics, immersive soundtrack, and authentic climbing mechanics that capture the physical feel of rock climbing through haptic feedback. However, several players report significant frustration with the auto limb selection system causing unexpected deaths, unexplained health loss from basic actions like fast walking, and inconsistent mechanics where characters black out while in safe positions, which undermines the otherwise solid gameplay foundation.
Beautiful game through and through, play peaks of yore.
This game is beautiful and profound. Would recommend.
Touch rock
Caught me by surprise how good this game is. I do bouldering myself, and from the get-go, it activates the same neurons as those I use when I actually go climbing. Well, for static positions and route planning at least. Aava kind of decides to defy the laws of physics during limb movement, but I take it as a way to make the game accessible, as it might end up as hard to clear as it is to code fully realistic climbing physics. But it's a nice challenge. Alpine mode is reasonably difficult with a good amount of resources to carry you on the way. The story however is the surprise standout. I know a number of people who feel like their lives have value only if they eventually achieve something monumental: a high ranking position, becoming a billionaire, a grand discovery that pushes the boundaries of human knowledge, what have you. Entrepreneurs, lawyers, researchers, athletes, any career driven by ambition. This is a story that targets that demographic. If you are also someone who thinks like that, this story could incite you to rethink the way you think about the concept of self-worth. Extremely well written with excellent voice acting to round off the experience. Highly recommen…
was good, soundtrack really dialed in the mood for me
This is good. Really emotional. Gets real challenging and intense towards the end when you run out resources and are racing against time. Wild ride, very unique.
