What happens when you take a farming game, speed it the f up and make things super simple to accomplish? You get this game! And... It actually works. Firstly, the game has charm. It has a certain warmth to it. You can feel the Developer's love and I am overly grateful that he gave a damn about the game. Also... Just a heads up... Leo alone could've sold the game. XD For me anyway. He is such a cutie/sweetie!!! Ah right well... If the speed is too fast for ya? You can change it, but... There is no point. You'll finish the game faster then. The Achievements are also rather simple and only the "Cook all the recipes" will require a tad bit of work. Romances! Okay! We have three females and two males... But even if there weren't any interest in females from my side, they were rather adorable. I don't really have much to pick on and neither do I want to... Hmm... Well, one thing then: The bed. Another reviewer pointed it out and I couldn't stop laughing at the comment they made: "The bed is small, so does this mean the husband sleeps atop of you?". XD Ahahahah! And we are good. Good work. Good job and keep up the goodness!!!6 found this helpful
The dev's not kidding about this being bite-sized. I was able to play through a whole year + marry Meadow + see most of the content (the rest was just completionist stuff) in just under 3 hours. It's fun though, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's a Harvest Moon/Stardew-like, the joy is in the routines and optimization of trying to scale up your income as fast as possible, and Firefly Village definitely provides that. The art is great and a lot of the tedium of the genre is removed.1 found this helpful
Surprisingly, I like this game. It's just enough to entertain without being too much. At first I thought it was cheap and lame, to be honest, but after a session with a very demanding game, I needed a break. I still wanted to play a game but didn't want it to feel like a job, which sometimes grindy games can be. After that other game, I felt more appreciative about what Firefly Village is. Just enough. What I didn't like about this little game was the way it doesn't use the mouse. I can't stand that. You have to only use the keyboard for every game interaction. However, I liked using only the interact button for all tool usage. No switching at all. How simplistic in a satisfying way. I recommend this game for a temporary escape from your more demanding cozy games.
kinda like if sdv and fields of mistria had a fetal alcohol syndrome baby
A cute little game! Its a nice bite-sized gaming experience. The days are short and there's only a handful of tasks to do so I don't feel like there's a big time crunch to get everything done each day. Definitely something to play if i only have a little time to kill but you could burn through most of the content in a day if you try. Short and sweet!
Really cute, cozy farming sim if you want sth to keep you occupied for about five to seven hours. I am bringing that up, because it is doable to 'beat' the game in that amount of time. At first I had assumed that other areas might be unlocked later, but ... nope. The town really is tiny. There is your farm, a small forest + the mines, the town centre (it doesn't even qualify for that term^^) and a grove. Overall, it is quite relaxing. One has all the time in the world. However, I do find it becomes very repetitive very quickly. Other than that, the characters are alright, if only two-dimensional. There is very little dialogue, barely any background information... (Why is there only one 'proper' adult in the village? What about Tilly's mum?) Super wild that one is just given the farm and the ajoining land, oh, and a house, albeit it a tiny one. I also find it very amusing that you get to keep your microscopic bed after marriage. Where is your spouse even supposed to sleep? On top of you? Under the bed? On a final note: The chat you and your future spouse have right after you proposed ... that's cute. Although it made me sad Tilly doesn't realise she is *the best* girl…
