This game isnt really bad...its just not good...i guess? Its a typical Wuxai-game, where you train yourself (after "creating" yourself - attributes, traits and so on), acsend different powerlayers while farming/grinding for ressources and Qi. it has some mini-games for different actions (mining and gathering, even acending). you will enter a sect and be able to manage your sect (build sect-building, ressource-management, wages, sect-war, territory-expansion and so on). Progressing in the mainstoryline will unlock additional planes (starting plane/map/world: mortal plane, then mixed plane, then immortal plane). First thing first, the obvious flaws: The translation - oh boy the translation. Its super bad, like really really bad. Storywise you get the meaning and whats going on, but in the menus and UI...so so terrible. Your attributes have like 3 different translations (i.e. Defense is somtimes called Defense, then Bonestructure and then again Bonepower) - its kinda hard to know sometimes what means what. The UI - it does it job i guess, but ones you try to get item descriptions, or descriptions on sect-building, the text sometimes just suddenly ends or becomes unreadable …

Floating Life2 is an expansive indie cultivation RPG that aims to simulate an entire life within a traditional Chinese fantasy world, blending open-ended role-playing, sandbox progression, and narrative-driven events into a single, ambitious experience. From the outset, the game establishes itself as a journey rather than a tightly scripted adventure, encouraging players to grow from an unremarkable individual into a powerful figure within a vast, living world. The setting draws heavily from xianxia and wuxia traditions, presenting a land filled with sects, spiritual beasts, ancient ruins, and cities shaped by politics and power struggles. Rather than pushing players along a rigid path, the game allows exploration, decision-making, and personal ambition to define how the story unfolds, giving the overall experience a sense of personal authorship. Gameplay revolves around long-term character development and gradual mastery of interconnected systems. Combat is turn-based and emphasizes preparation, skill combinations, and stat management rather than raw reflexes. Players can experiment with different techniques, cultivation paths, and equipment to find strategies that suit their pre…

If you’re expecting this to scratch that Tale of Immortal itch, it won’t. The roadmap is still incomplete, and it’s unclear whether the developers are actively working on the game, even though it’s been available since October 27, 2023.

An Interesting game, needs some modding to get the english to work, but it was a good time. Repetitive, but a good jumping off point to build something bigger. Too bad it didnt quite take off, and has been abandoned for about a year. Cheers to what you made though!

There's a lot to like here if you enjoy cultivation games, that being said, from what I can tell, this game has been abandoned by the devs. The game isn't complete, there was definitely supposed to be at least one more map, but the story (if you could even call it that) cuts off abruptly and the Industry tab shows upgrades from the left out map. Either way, from that point on, you're on your own. Despite all that, you can definitely tell they took the time to really flush out all of the systems, dungeon crawling and mini games. I'd only recommend this game at a steep discount, and only if you're out of other games.
