Nice Idler!1 found this helpful
It's a good game. It's fun, the pixel art characters are cute, and the attack animations are pretty nice. That said, the strategy aspect feels mostly irrelevant. I managed to beat the Lord of Souls by simply leaving the game running and occasionally upgrading my weapons and characters. I didn't build any proper team—I just threw together one character of each class that looked interesting and kept upgrading their gear. In the end, I defeated the Solar Boss without any trouble. So, if you're patient, you'll be able to unlock all the achievements pretty easily. If you're in a hurry, then it might be worth looking up the best characters and team compositions. Either way, it's up to you.
For 20 hours I've been asking myself, when does this game become fun? Number never goes up in a satisfying way, you never see cool combat animations, you can barely affect the comabt actively. I understand it's one of those games you keep running in the background while you do something else, but... 1. the game is coded to always be on top of everything, you have to change so many settings just to be able to minimize it, just for the game to overwrite your settings every time you reopen it. If you keep it open forever, you can make the window smaller to keep it on screen at all times, but then the game is too small to be interactable. 2. trying to check on the game every 2-3 hours, there's just not enough happening. I realized I should refund the game exactly when my playtime hit 2 hours, and since it was too late, I decided to keep playing the game to justify the money I spent. It never became worth it.
I hate how the character's skin & equipable weapon is randomized when promoted. I wish it stayed the same. My healer went from a magical girl to an old man to a power ranger. Makes it hard to keep track of them and it's ugly. Other than that, pretty good game.
