About Flock of the Low God

A festering evil has taken root at the Lanford Police Department…

It’s been one year since your father died in the line of duty, a sudden and unexplainable death following his arrest of the notoriously vicious cult “The Flock of the Low God”. In his final days, it seemed an evil had consumed him and driven him mad, a mysterious affliction that has haunted you ever since and driven you to adopt the badge yourself.

In this thrilling survival horror experience based on the feature film MALUM, step into the shoes of Officer Loren, a rookie cop on her first shift that threatens to become her last. Explore the decommissioned police station, uncover the evidence, and piece together the disturbing history behind your father's death, the notorious cult and its dangerously enigmatic leader: John Malum.

But be careful… because John Malum never forgets, and he and his demented followers have their sights set on you.

Can you stop the Flock before they overrun the police station? Or will you become the final piece in their bloody and twisted ritual?

Flock of the Low God.. When buying this game in its current state.. Remember it is in Early Access! The game is 1 - 2 hours.. Depending on how scared you are. Flock has HUGE potential to be one of the scariest games in the VR world. i would recommend to anyone to try it out. did it have a few bugs? Yes.. and I spoke to the developer and they have taken these on board and im sure are onto fixing them already. Developers seem to be really passionate about their game.. Its not just a money grab.. They seem to want to see this succeed and become a staple VR must try game. The first half of the game is packed full of Jump scares.. Followed by the 2nd half becoming in my opinion more of a wave shooter. (this does not mean it takes away from the horror, I was on panic mode quite a few times). Yes the game still needs work, More content, More combat options etc.. But the potential is there and worth the money for the experience the first half of the game provides. I will update this review as and when updates come arrive.

The game is currently in early access, so a lot of work still needs to be done to bring this title up to a full release. I'm really looking forward to what's in store for us. What has been implemented so far was very short and sweet. It is a tense, slow-paced survival-horror type experience. There are many small scripted moments that are easy to miss, so keep your eyes and ears open. The game utilizes some dynamic hand poses, which are neat and not often seen in VR (yet?). There is some light puzzling, which I'm looking forward to being expanded upon in a full release. The game had a similar sense of tension as a game like Madison VR, but because FOTLG has weaponry, it is more satisfying because you as a player have some agency in your own prolonged survival. I would recommend this game if you are chasing that ever-fleeting adrenaline rush.

Oooh boy, this game will scare the tits of you. I was literally trembling the whole time, from the menu screen to the time I died. This is a very immersive, tense game with plenty of scare jumps. You are on your first shift at the police department and guess what, a cult decides to lock you in and try and kill you, brilliant. Can you escape? Now I believe it’s based on a film although I haven’t seen it. It has a good narrative story that’s well voice acted but dam it’s scary as hell to play. If you wanna see me crap myself I made a fun game play video. Not sure the length of time it would take to complete, and well done to anyone that’s brave enough to do just that. https://youtu.be/MXgukdPlsO8?si=zKlaLetEkA5bfTx8

I liked the film Malum, though I did find the movie somewhat forgettable. This game has you experience some variation of it, but the implementation is rather disappointing. It's almost as if we're back in the fledgling days of VR, and that's not a good thing at all. Controls are awkward, and once I turned into a giant for some strange reason. The combat is laughable, and I gave up when being bull rushed by enemies due to the unnecessary twirling of my shotgun that gave me less time to deal with the problem facing me. Die hard fans of Malum might want to experience this, but otherwise you can probably give it a pass. It did manage to give me one unexpected scare, a rare feat.

Though I have not seen the movie yet, the clips it does show in the game seem like a decent tie-in experience. It is a fairly straight forward story with a couple jump scares, some shooting combat and a bunch of walking around the precinct. It definitely feels like a B rated experience though, as the animations and sound effects feel pretty generic. It could definitely use more work on the inventory system as you find more items than you can carry and might run out of ammo as you only hold one magazine. I did not play this before the most recent update, so I have no idea how the multiplayer used to be, as it is no longer an option in their newest update. Now it is just a story driven single player experience and they seem pretty accepting of the feedback. It doesn't have any real replay value either, as it is just story and done after about 40 or so minutes, pending how good of a shot you are. If Steam had a star system, I would say about 3.5 stars out of 5, catch it while it is on sale if you like a creepy/cult horror experience especially if you want to feel in the movie.

Gives me a tiny feeling of RE2 which is good! Maybe make em act like the zombies from the remake of re2 and little :). Also By chance make the vive controls lil better? Im poor so I still got the og vive lol.
